July 25, 20204 yr Thanks for the thread, Addy. I'll leave a longer review later, but in short that was underwhelming. They may never again come close to the height of AS2. Missed a trick re storylines too this week.
July 25, 20204 yr I avoided all spoilers on Twitter and then log into Netflix and the thumbnail for the episode is the crowning moment!!!! I do think going by that lip sync the right winner won, however, all 3 of them deserved the crown. I am so sad for Jujubee because this will probably be her last time unless Ru does some Top 3 spin off.

Really pissed me off. :/ Wasn't amazed by that finale at all - but the whole season's been underwhelming in general so at least it's over ~
July 25, 20204 yr It was just very underwhelming? The song wasn't that great. Based on the final lip sync I can see why Shea won, but I thought Jujubee did the best overall in the episode. Her final runway look! :o I was so hoping it would be Jujubee winning. :( I'm happy Shea won but the whole season seemed set up for her to win, so it didn't really feel that exciting. I feel the biggest problem with the season was just how overproduced it was. Not to mention they lost a potentially great story line early (India vs Derrick). For the next season I want them to do away with the lip sync assassin and revert back to two challenge winners lip syncing.
July 25, 20204 yr Yeah the lip-sync assassin thing really shouldn't return. It's nice to see queens come back (even if it is just Ru's personal favourites all the time x), but with the over-production of the season in general, it's so easy just to tell the lip-sync assassin to throw it for the sake of being able to manipulate which queen stays/goes.
July 25, 20204 yr I don’t think the series did produce it for Shea to seem the front runner the entire time- I don’t get that claim? They could have given multiple wins that they didn’t and had Cracker win more than her
July 25, 20204 yr Author Yeah, I don't agree that the show set her up for winning. She actually was in the bottom more often than Jujubee or Miz Cracker!!! All three of them could have been a winner really, it's just the last challenge worked on Shea favor since she is the most talented on dancing and lip syncing than other two.
July 25, 20204 yr An absolutely fabulous Top 3! The best since Season 12 :lol: (no but really it was a FAB Top 3.) The final episode was a bit disappointing and predictable. Quite a bland performance of the song. The end lipsync was good but nothing spectacular or surprising happened. I feel like the producers wanted to do things by the book after the horrific double-win of All Stars 4. LOVE the winner :heart: So so deserving.
July 25, 20204 yr I genuinely think that if it wasn't for this amazing cast of queens, this season would've been unwatchable. The queens were the SOLE reason this season worked as the challenges and production definitely didn't :mellow: I will say though, I really hope that they do the finale runway again in future for everyone - what a really classy and enjoyable move. Everyone genuinely brought their best. Jujubee's outfit LITERALLY had me shout at my screen "Oh my GOD."

Completely agree! It felt like a celebration of the whole season and all of the queens. They all looked stunning too.

July 27, 20204 yr It’s hard to disagree with Shea getting a crown, it’s just a shame it was off a run a fair bit weaker than her slaying of season 9. Tbh though unless she had pulled an Ongina they were always going to crown her regardless of her performance across the season. Cracker was never going to win and they gave Juju such boring choreography and hardly focussed on her in the final lip sync it was blatantly obvious she wasn’t winning. It’s just a shame Juju was wasted on another garbage season she was never going to win but I guess without her it would have been a really difficult season to watch.
July 29, 20204 yr The season wasn't edited to see Shea win? lol OKAY - She started strong then fell to the bottom and there was a conspiracy to get her out (she's big competition and all that) - Two challenge wins (including Snatch Game) and 100% lipsync wins - Cracker was made to be her closest competition and make it look like it's a close race. The last two episode wins sometimes serve as a red herring - Shea received very positive critiques in the last couple of episodes especially due to her runway looks - COUNTLESS times Shea talking about how winning this would mean everything to her - Rose petals - Shea either wins shit by landslide or is in the bottom 3. This is what Rupaul likes in winners a lot of the time.
