Guessing the physicals were added for Neck Deep then? I'm not sure what's going on with them as the stores are saying October for them  hopefully it can stay at #3!
Nathan Dawe seems to be gaining on Taylor Swift for the No.4 spot but with the missing data added on - she should be comfortable.
Is Watermelon Sugar 7 or 10??

Your first answer is correct :P

I hope Nathan overtakes Taylor

Same here, and that it makes official #1 eventually like MNEK and Joel Corry did.

Just listened to Cardigan for the first time and its rather good though.

You gotta hand it to Taylor Swift she took a risk but a calculated one and it worked. Katy Perry should have done the same sort of thing and surprise drop an album last year.

The longer an artist keeps releasing songs that don't really catch on the more damage it does. Taylor basically stopped that by not releasing a single and surprising an album drop. It worked for Beyonce too when she was getting diminishing returns on the singles chart. Ellie Goulding is a prime example of keep throwing out songs hoping for a hit then by the time an album drops the general public think meh I haven't liked her last 5 songs so I'm not checking the album.

A surprise drop for Katy wouldn’t work the same way as it did Taylor I don’t think but I also agree with the post regarding releasing too many singles before an album etc.

But surprise drops only work for the A Listers and real stars. Katy doesn’t fall into that category right now. It helps that Taylor is a more versatile artist as well who can cross genres quite easily. Beyoncé’s album drop worked as well as she’s also someone who’s music doesn’t just fall into one category. With Katy she’s a pure pop artist and when she did try something new it didn’t catch on so it would be risky to surprise drop an album especially when it’s a crucial album for her in terms of where she’s headed in the mainstream world.

I don't think Katy's in the position where she can take that sort of risk and have it pay off for her, and probably hasn't been for quite a long time unlike Taylor.

Although I will say I find it baffling how they're still pushing 'Smile' and expecting that to do anything for her.

I think the whole point of surprise dropping an album is 2 fold, people being intrigued what it sounds like. This could have worked for Katy if she veered into say folk pop or a slightly different lane. It also says to people I'm an album artist, I'm a real musician and I'm proud of what I created.

I think katy's album is already dead on arrival now because of so many under performing singles from it.

I dont think Katy’s career is over yet like most people are pointing out. she’s just going into a transition like most female artists do in their mid 30s, she’s shifting her audience from teenage girls to older over 30 population, mostly gay men, and thats the only audience thats sustainable for pop female artists over 35... Madonna knew it when she released Erotica in 1992, Kylie with Light years/Fever in 2000, Lady Gaga is doing that with her Chromatica album right now... the only difference is that Katy will struggle more to do her transition since her new output isnt that strong even though its aimed at a gay audience.... she needs better songs in the future in order to keep any audience interested... but her career is far from over...

Of course it would, but you'd expect it to have a particular effect on a song called Holiday...

It's really not that difficult a concept to understand

Thank you was a tongue in cheek comment didnt expect it to cause so much negativity :(
