Posted July 26, 20204 yr Which artists have topped the UK singles chart on their own birthday? Edited July 26, 20204 yr by adrianreavill83
July 26, 20204 yr Daniel Bedingfield (born 3 December 1979) did it twice - with Gotta Get Thru This (2001) and If You're Not The One (2002).
July 26, 20204 yr A few more off the top of my head Holly Johnson (1984) Madonna (1985) George Michael (1986) Glenn Medeiros (1988) Cher (1991)
July 26, 20204 yr Author Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys was No.1 on his birthday with their single It's A Sin
July 26, 20204 yr Just checked Bryan Adams but it turns out he was born in November. Using the same logic of going for people who spent a long time at number one, Olivia Newton-John was number one on her birthday with Summer Nights. Surely at least one Beatle must have been number one on their birthday
July 27, 20204 yr A few more examples: Johnny Logan in 1980 (What's Another Year) Holly Valance in 2002 (Kiss Kiss) Nelly in 2002 (alongside Kelly Rowland on Dilemma) Tony Christie in 2005 (alongside Peter Kay on Amarillo)
July 29, 20204 yr Michael Jackson was #1 on his birthday with I Just Can't Stop Loving You in 1987.... until the new chart was announced later that day and he fell to #3 (Replaced with the iconic Never Gonna Give You Up!)
July 30, 20204 yr Using the same logic of going for people who spent a long time at number one, Olivia Newton-John was number one on her birthday with Summer Nights. Surely at least one Beatle must have been number one on their birthday  Paul McCartney in 1968 with The Ballad Of John & Yoko I think was the only one. George Harrison was No. 1 on his birthday in 1971 with "My Sweet Lord". Geri Halliwell was number 1 on her birthday in both 1996 "Wannabe" and 1998 "Viva Forever".
