Despite his personality I do like some of Chris Brown’s songs, including Go Crazy. It reminds me quite a bit of With You from 2008, which was the first song of his I liked.

I really hope Dance Monkey Can cling on for a 50th week Top 40, and then it can leave. ;)

I'm not thrilled with the prospect of Chris Brown getting another top 10 hit but on a purely musical level 'Go Crazy' is several universes preferable to 'Dancing In The Moonlight' so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is a pretty annoyingly catchy song, I can definitely see why it's done so well. ('No Guidance' on the other hand did even better and I still don't understand what appeal that tedious pile of junk ever had...)

Albums Chart exact Sales from Music Week

1 Fontaines DC 16,527

2 Taylor Swift 10,686

3 Creeper 5,604

4 Pop Smoke 5,453

5 Alanis Morrissette 4,520

Hoping Taylor can pull it off now that CDs are in some stores!

Even with Fountaines discounted to £4.99, I don’t think- no offence- that anyone outside of their fan base will be buying their album...

You could say that about literally every artist ever. If it's not to your taste you can just say it lmao

They've not tweeted or mentioned it, so I doubt they're too fussed

They wouldn't have reduced it if they weren't fussed :kink:

There's nothing wrong with being competitive though! Good on them for being tactical (and Taylor too )

Well I presumed the sales reduction would be the label, but the social medias seem to be controlled by the band members themselves. There's not much point reducing an album and not telling the fans about it

but not sure if I understand, what about all the people that pre-ordered from Taylor's website, are those been shipped now too?
I love the album its fantastic probably one of her better ones but she is supposedly running a competition that anyone who buys the album will be entered in to a draw to win a signed guitar , not a fan when artists do this even you tay tay :(
Were all the pre-order sales already added in in today's update? Seems there were only a couple thousand of them if so, so maybe her getting back the #1 still isn't quite a foregone conclusion. I'd be surprised if there were that few though... (although I suspect her pre-ordered vinyl sales will probably be higher and those are still not going to be shipped for a few months).

Shock horror...an artist wants to be No1....

Really are some complete strange ones on here...think before you type.

Nope I’m basing it on facts: it has barely made a 1k daily increase which illustrates the lack of support/interest away from their core fanbase.

Thanks.

You're only judging in comparison to other albums of much more prominent artists from much more popular mainstream genres. Obviously it's not going to break the charts and get thousands of new fans out of nowhere every day. You don't know how many of those people discovered them with this release. Have you actually listened to the album before making a claim that "no one outside of their fanbase will be buying it"?

😂 the comparison between Fontaines DC and Taylor Swift is hilarious. The former have only broken onto radio playlists in the last year while Taylor is an established artist with many fans worldwide. Fontaines DC get playlisted by 6 Music and Radio 1 (C-List) for their current single....

looking at people's comments on the OCC page, the Fontaines fans are not happy ;)

That's one of the most pathetic and desperate things I've ever seen when it comes to the charts. Missing out on one week, when she's bound to have got it next week and probably the rest of the month, would mean nothing to EMI and Taylor Swift but would mean the world to an upcoming band that may never get a similar chance. Just sheer spite and manipulation with basically placing the album where they want with the pre-orders.
