Pretty good winner, one of her few songs that holds up OK. Pixie hasn't had anything as offensively bad as Jessie J's worst material, but her highs are really just...decent whereas Jessie's can be good, I'm not sure which team I'm on here  Ah well, thanks for hosting!

A shame Jessie couldn't do better because of troll rates. Don't see the point of rating and wasting time in something you don't like, but that's just me!

I mean Pixie had equally as low rates.

Surprised at the winner too, I would have thought All About Tonight would be an easy win. The better Pixie songs deservedly coming out on top but, omg they’re basic personified

How is Kiss the Stars so high?!!??

I thought Baby could be higher!

oh yes, Repeat is so much better!!! (although admittedly generic)

I actually think I rated Jessie better than Pixie overall.

Louder!

I get that with this and the Anne-Marie/Jess rate, it's artists that typically don't have a great reputation on Buzzjack that have been chosen - but why on earth would you actively participate in a rate where 90% of your scores are between 0-4? Really baffling.

Anyway, really pleased to see Cry Me Out win

Jessie J so underrated

Pixie overrated, well some of them anyways 🙊

I’m sorry, because I know this veiled dig us aimed squarely at me, but I thought this rate was thrown together for exactly the same reason as the last one? So it’s ok to slate Anne-Marie and Jess Glynne but Pixie Lott and Jessie J are different cases? I’m actually a fan of a lot of Jess Glynne’s music and have to put up watching posters continually make digs about it but somehow that’s not allowed for other artists.

I mean, I thought this was also supposed to be a joke rate that no one takes seriously but clearly I was wrong. I won’t take part in these things again because I just get ridiculed and ganged up on for having different opinions to the in clique. Apparently rating Jessie J songs as a 4 or lower is a crime but making passive aggressive digs at someone who’s actually present in the thread is perfectly ok.

I clearly misunderstood the intention behind this rate and am unworthy.

Where did I say it was okay to slate Anne-Marie and Jess Glynne but not these two - because I don't think I did? It applies to both rates - why bother skewing results with all the hyperbolic zeros? A rate's a rate at the end of the day, and I'm sure you'd have something to say about somebody wading into a P!nk, Anastacia or Dido rate dishing out low scores all round.

My post really wasn't a dig directly at you either, but go off playing the victim.

I don't agree with the premise that you shouldn't enter a rate if you're giving low scores to everything - it's a rate, low scores exist in it. It's not exactly representative if you don't allow people who have negative opinions about the majority of the songs to rate lel ~ (especially in these rates which, as T Boy said, were intentionally picked because they're artists that don't exactly have overwhelming acclaim on this website).

Rather odd results! Cry Me Out is a surprise winner but not a bad one either, and I'm as baffled as everyone else at Thunder being that low! From listening to the playlist the two biggest disappointments for me were Do It Like A Dude and Nobody's Perfect, they've both aged horribly :(

Thanks Cameron! Are we going to get the reveal for who was Team Jessie and Team Pixie? (Or did I miss it :o)

Well you did state in the post I quoted that you ‘get it’ with Anne-Marie and Jess Glynne but not with these two suggesting that they’re they’re different classes of artist.

Yeah, you can bring my favourite artists into it but if someone did that I’d probably just question their taste rather than be all ‘what’s the point of you taking part, baffling! Positive rates only’. And my zeros weren’t hyperbolic, they were what I thought of the songs so there was no intent to skew the results. There’s an Anastacia rate going on in the 2000s forum right now but I’m not confident she will get loads of 00s because her songs are pretty good.

Maybe I am playing victim but it’s only because I feel like one. In the past two threads, I’m the member that’s constantly named, like it’s ok to take the piss out of me. Your post specifically mentions 90% scores between 0 and 4 which I’m pretty sure described my rate to a tee so excuse me if it does feel like you’re after me.

At the end of the day it’ll, yes, it’s a rate, but I don’t see how taking the piss out of some bad songs is worse than taking the piss out of a human.

of course you can take part of a rate and give low scores, this is not the Pixie Lott fan club forum :D

if someone goes to the effort of listening to the song, why they cannot give it a low score if they don't like them

it's not that they gave it a 0 without listening

Of course you can give poor rates but when you actively hate the artist in question, why bother?? Again, that's just my opinion!

I wouldn't seek out an artist having a rate where I actively hate all of their discography and the artist in question - and listen to all of their songs that I haven't heard. It just feels like a waste of time in my opinion, that's all!

I get that with this and the Anne-Marie/Jess rate

If you’d bothered to read my post properly, I stated I ‘get it’ with both rates.

That kind of did happen in the last rate to be fair, and it was actually quite a few people who'd done that.

I’m quite glad at that winner! I did rate Jessie as my #11 track here but I do like Pixie more overall and it was one of her best songs which won.

Cry Me Out for a time was actually her biggest seller too wasn’t it despite its peak.

Both careers kinda went the same way huge debut era (Both debuts sales are so impressive tbh). Both on 3 #1s. But for whatever reason they fell victim to the second album curse and then when album 3 hit around the time we got into or were getting into the streaming era it just never recovered. For a time too they both coached on Voice Kids UK at same time.

Well if you get it then I don’t know why you’re moaning about it. I took part because I thought it was a bit of fun but it appears some people take these rates a bit too seriously.

And to Jack, I wouldn’t say I ‘actively hate’ the artists (I gave Pixie an 11 FFS) because it implies I try to hate them no matter what music they produce which isn’t true at all and throwing terms around like that is an attempt to devalue my opinion. Perhaps in future rates should only be for people who actively love the artists? I think that would be silly tbh.

Either way, just because my opinion differs from yours doesn’t give posters the right to make veiled digs at me and call me a troll.

It's not a dig on my end and I think you're taking it to heart too much and being a little too sensitive. It's not that big of a deal!

It might not be a big deal but I’m more than one of these threads, posters (not you tbh) have brought my name into as if to say ‘oh T Boy is trolling, oh a low score from T Boy’ so I do genuinely feel like I’m being singled out. Perhaps I am too sensitive but in all fairness this kicked off because people were being sensitive over low rates for songs.
