August 17, 20205 yr Taylor holding up welll, she may even sneak top 3 depending how the new releases hold
August 17, 20205 yr Amazing start for Sea Girls, was kind of expecting low top 10 and them to have to push fans later in the week to secure that. Should definitely get a top 3 placing, if not retain #2!
August 18, 20205 yr Decent for Biffy hopefully will get 30k by the end of the week, be interesting to see how The Killers start next week. Also didn't realise Sea Girls would be top 5, great result, hope they can stay number 2 but Taylor may be a threat.

August 18, 20205 yr Taylor looking good for a sophomore position then! Glad Miley is holding on given that it has no support on streaming!
August 18, 20205 yr Miley has lots of support on streaming She was #1 on NMF and is on both HH and Today's Top Hits
August 18, 20205 yr Is there any news on Gaga in the albums or is it just a top 40? Sorry to sound annoying just really hoping she can sneak in by Friday!
August 18, 20205 yr There is absolutely no need for Dance Monkey to return to the top 40. Hope it drops out by Friday.
August 18, 20205 yr Eurgh at Miley at 13 was hoping LM would climb above it. Why? Midnight Sky is miles better than the derivative Holiday. Little Mix are on their way out as a band now- this could be their last era. Edited August 18, 20205 yr by Cognizant
August 18, 20205 yr Why? Midnight Sky is miles better than the derivative Holiday. Little Mix are on their way out as a band now- this could be their last era. Based on what?
August 18, 20205 yr Why? Midnight Sky is miles better than the derivative Holiday. Little Mix are on their way out as a band now- this could be their last era. Their huge tours and new TV show say hello
August 18, 20205 yr Based on what? Their last album didn’t sell well at all (please don’t justify its underperformance on the label mess). Break Up Song had some longevity, but for a lead single didn’t perform as well as Women Like Me or Shout Out To My Ex. Holiday is a derivative track which sounds like Maroon 5’s What Lovers Do, and metrically isn’t doing that well. So based on all of the above, I can’t see the band having any longevity. I think they’ll call it a day after this album or the next. As for their tour sales (which have declined) and their TV show The Search (which could do well), I don’t see them bolstering their success on the music front at least. I like them as a band but surely it has to be recognised that their success is dwindling single by single...
August 18, 20205 yr How can you not take into account the label mess when you analyze LM5's sales when because of the label mess the album ended up having two singles, whilst all of their others have had four at least? Wasabi has over 80M streams on Spotify and they were never able to push it as a single because of the "label mess". The campaign was dead on arrival. Not to mention Think About Us not being playlisted by a lot of radio stations who didn't want to be involved in the mess. This could be their last era in a natural way since next year they'll be around for a decade, but it's silly to say they should call it a day because their sales as a nine year old girlgroup have decreased when lots of acts around didn't. Talking about Miley herself, was Younger Now and Her Dead Petz reason for her to call it a day after her success had dwindled? Holiday's not their best song and it is a tad generic but obviously their fans will want it to succeed, you can't expect otherwise. Break Up Song was one of their best ever singles so I'm pleased they're still around. Edited August 18, 20205 yr by caseclosed
August 18, 20205 yr Wonder if both Dua songs will make too 40 on Friday. The Levitating remix is still falling on Spotify so I think it could miss
August 18, 20205 yr Taylor looking good for a sophomore position then! Glad Miley is holding on given that it has no support on streaming! She has a lot of streaming support, just been added to hot hits on Spotify and she's creeping into the top 30 now. Anyone know how far of no10 she is?
August 18, 20205 yr Holiday is a derivative track which sounds like Maroon 5’s What Lovers Do, and metrically isn’t doing that well. not sure what it means to do well "metrically" but Holiday is #28 on Apple Music, #28 on Spotify, #20 on Amazon and #14 on iTunes, it's that's not doing well, you need a reality check
August 18, 20205 yr WAP slightly closed the gap on Lighter but may not be enough to be #2 come Friday. Dance Monkey back at 36 haha though tends to drop come Friday. Glad for Miley to be hanging there, thought she would have started to drop by now.
