August 19, 20205 yr I hope Dua manages to keep both songs in Top 40 :cheer: Also curious to know which version of Levitating they'll play :kink:
August 19, 20205 yr Thursdays data is just an approximation based on the week leading up to it anyway (as far as I understand at least; Braylene do you confirm? x) so I wonder if it will be the case? It's virtually the same situation as last year when 25/12 was a Wednesday. I think the main issue is that 25/12 is on a Friday and is a huge tracking day for Christmas music. Not enough to hold up an entire week by itself, so we'll probably have Christmas music peak on the chart that's revealed on 25/12, and then they'll have a hefty decline but won't be gone completely on 1/1. Spreading the decline across two weeks makes it harder for non-Christmas songs to get that 25% boost in January the way nearly everything did this year. Not sure either what they'll do with Thursday, but I can't imagine it'll make things easier either. Edited August 19, 20205 yr by Dircadirca
August 19, 20205 yr Surpised but pleased that Miley and Little Mix are holding up as well as they are at the moment. Both likely to stay in the top 20 I presume?
August 19, 20205 yr On iTunes, 2 Nathan Dawe feat. KSI - Lighter 3 Cardi B feat. Megan Thee Stallion - WAP both reduced to 59p. A large number of other tracks are now 59p or 79p.
August 19, 20205 yr I wonder if Drake's new one will overtake Lighter by Friday. The gap has decreased only slightly in the last day (0.2k)

However she won't be in the running in the following week when she has been peaking previously, though might be well ahead in the first update.
August 19, 20205 yr Last year was Mariah's last chance of getting #1 though!1! As was the previous year. And so will this year be. xx
August 19, 20205 yr Hope clean bandit keep wap of top spot next week I very much doubt it! Clean Bandit aren't the huge force they used to be and plus this collab (which you can hear a snippet of on TikTok) is with Mabel- an artist that doesn't scream HUGE!

Clean Bandit aren't the huge force they used to be and plus this collab (which you can hear a snippet of on TikTok) is with Mabel- an artist that doesn't scream HUGE! Clean Bandit's last album produced five top 5 hits - three of which reached #1. This is the first single since that campaign finished. Mabel's one of the biggest artists in the country right now. (I don't see them debuting at #1 anyway, they'd be more likely to climb there in a few weeks, but these reasons do not add up)

Clean Bandit aren't the huge force they used to be and plus this collab (which you can hear a snippet of on TikTok) is with Mabel- an artist that doesn't scream HUGE! pardon... with a collab with Clean Bandit will give her a bigger profile, unless I'm missing something. I can't fathom how you came to that conclusion
August 19, 20205 yr Great to see Sea Girls are likely to hold top 3! That's a great result for them  It's a shame everyone is so far behind Blandy Clyro though. It's literally the same album they've been releasing for more than a decade :') Taylor making great gains and only dropping to 2  EDIT: Also y'all are forgetting the huge collaboration between two iconic female acts.... Iggy Azalea and Tinashe is coming on Friday *.* #178 is SHAKING.

Although Clean Bandit produced 5 top-five hits, my opinion is based on the latter two singles released from the album- Baby featuring Marina wasn't that big of a success and Mama featuring Ellie Goulding completely flopped. I re-iterate that Mabel is not enough of a big name to secure them a number-one debut like Everton suggests. They might debut in the top-ten but I highly doubt they would debut at number one. If the feature was with Stormzy or Dua Lipa, for example, then I would agree that the track would be a contender for number one! Edited August 19, 20205 yr by Cognizant

If the feature was with Stormzy or Dua Lipa, for example, then I would agree that the track would be a contender for number one! We definitely agree that a #1 debut isn't on the cards, but none of their singles (released in the streaming era) have debuted at #1 anyway! Besides, Baby still did well even if it wasn't a massive smash, and Mama flopped because it simply wasn't any good :kink: (and I say that as an Ellie fan) None of Mabel's singles since Don't Call Me Up have missed the top 20 - an impressive hit rate! :o So I think they're surely on for a big debut next week, unless the song's a complete misfire. These were their previous era's debuts: #6 Tears [with BGT performance] #7 Rockabye #6 Symphony #28 I Miss You #12 Solo #33 Baby A top 10 debut would be good going if they managed that! And all six of those climbed to a new peak.
August 19, 20205 yr Marina's #11 curse striking for 'Baby' when it probs would've been a number 1 for anyone else on the track! (jk but I really wish they didn't release that during Q4! :( )

August 19, 20205 yr do we know if future nostalgia is #7 or #8 at all? amazed Levitating is still hanging onto the top 40 somehow despite a bad drop on iTunes and spotify
August 19, 20205 yr I’m guessing Youtube is a major factor as to why she’s still as high as 13! Hopefully she manages to remain top 15! I can see this having a long chart run too
