Destiny's Child much higher than they deserve imo. -_-

I just want to see Little Mix and Queen in the top 5 and I don't care about the rest left.

I can see Spice Girls X Girls Aloud battle for the crown now. 2 overrated girlbands imo.

Listen to music before and after the Beatles to see how important they are. They basically created the format of the album!

This.

I also think it's ridiculous to compare music from the 60's to now, I mean The Beatles produced some of THE best music of the 60's decade, some of the most well known material of all time they left their mark and changed music history. Like them or not calling the biggest selling music act of all time overrated, and then fangirling over the likes of Pussycat Dolls and One Direction, is ridiculous.

Destiny's Child are epic! Truly one of THE girlbands of my generation.
OK so there's a huge leap of over 70 points to No 6 but less than 70 points between No 6 and No 1!
Wow that's so close! :o Not sure I'd have helped because I think/assume LM, ABBA, GA & SG would all have made my top 10 (or close to) at least...

I'm not a *huge* fan of DC, but they have some bops. Most notably 'Lose My Breath'

What I want:

Little Mix

Spice Girls

ABBA

Girls Aloud

Sugababes

Queen > Honestly, working at HMV has made me sick to death of them for the most part (and I wasn't *huge* on them in the first place! lmao!) <

---

What I think:

Spice Girls

Girls Aloud

ABBA

Sugababes

Queen

Little Mix

Destiny's Child were great, I am a bit surprised to see them this high though considering Beyoncé was about 16th in the solo female poll.

Didn't get a chance to vote in this but I would have chosen these if I had:

1. Spice Girls

2. Step

3. Scissor Sisters

4. Abba

5. The Beatles

6. Blondie

7. Queen

8. Kaiser Chiefs

9. Sugababes

10. Girls Aloud

11. Fleetwood Mac

12. Coldplay

13. Bon Jovi

14. All Saints

15. Rolling Stones

16. Bananarama

17. Maroon 5

18. Pet Shop Boys

19. Take That

20. The Killers

21. S Club 7

22. Black Eyed Peas

23. Little Mix

24. Oasis

25. The Eagles

26. U2

27. Muse

28. Erasure

29. Greenday

30. No Doubt

Bit of a mixed bag of bands there but I would have all of the remaining top 6.

This.

I didn’t realise the poster in question stanned then lol, makes the comment even worse

Of all the 'classic' old acts there are, I think Queen and Abba are the two I like listening to the least, just have no interest in them at all. I get why they're popular but there's about half a dozen songs between them that I wouldn't want to turn off straight away.

Of the 6 left, Girls Aloud and Sugababes comfortably my favourite two so routing for one of those to win

Queen are the only remaining act I would have voted for. Between the various girlgroups Little Mix are the most consistent for me so them to win if not Queen I guess (though all of the remaining ones have their fair share of both great songs and awful/very boring songs). Have never been a fan of ABBA beyond a small handful of songs.

TOTAL UK TOP 40 HITS: 28

BIGGEST UK HIT: CANNONBALL (#1, 2011) WINGS (#1, 2012) BLACK MAGIC (#1, 2015) SHOUT OUT TO MY EX (#1, 2016)

Ooh genuinely thought Little Mix would win, I do absolutely adore them but I'm glad they are not top 5 as the others remaining are more deserving imo.

I'm glad Abba and Queen have both made the top 5. The average person in the UK would not be able to name a single song by Little Mix.

I agree with this but I guess they have been around a lot longer

Most Little Mix songs are pleasant enough without me being bothered by them either way, but 'Black Magic' would quite comfortably be in my top 3 songs by a girlband.
Ironically 'Black Magic' is the very first song I'd think of when it comes to Little Mix songs that are no better than 'pleasant enough'. That's always been one of my least favourite singles from them as I've always seen it as them reverting to bland radio filler music after the more interesting songs from their previous album did not do as well as their debut. Each to their own though ~

I thought LM could maybe win !!

I dont think a band with their own forum will take victory.
