Apparently they're saying Apple Music and YT still report their data on time! So those should count apparently.

 

I assumed all streaming was averaged for the official charts?

Well, I remembered they spent a fair few weeks in the Top 10 before reaching #1, I had to double check how many weeks. :lol: Still a big achievement for them though, I thought it would return to the Top 10 in the New Year but never thought #1 was on the cards!

It's weird not having anything to worry about regarding where it's gonna be on playlists at midnight. The only thing I'd like is for it to be kept as 59p for an extra week so it can have a week in the batch.

 

Since when has the Now version been 59p?

Ed releasing Christmas week has hurt him for this song. He'd have definitely garnered more interest had he waited a couple of weeks! (Thankfully he didn't and left the door open for Little Mix *.*) he'll be able to recover easily enough I suspect though. I think he should have just done what Taylor did and released an album right off the bat and then a single would have naturally taken off.

 

(Not saying this is a flop for him, but it is definitely a bit of an under performance, especially considering how low sales are rn?)

 

But yeah, this is gonna hold up this week I think. I don't wanna be too optimistic, but I would say 3 at the lowest (expecting Biebs and potentially CJ to overtake)? (Providing the path is clear and there's no surprise release we're unaware of ofc aha)

Ed’s song isn’t a lead single either. So I doubt his label are pushing it a lot- that and his selling power has dwindled a bit over his “retirement”, when his actual lead is released I’m sure it’ll be everywhere :(
