I wish they’d 59p it to get it back to 1 then it’ll be #1 on the biggest made up chart show!

I honestly can't believe they're in their fifth week and haven't discounted and challenging for the top spot.

 

If they could get a few places higher on Spotify and drop to 59p they have it in the bag. :(

Oop, Miley/Dua and Bieber/Shawn coming hard. Next week will 100% be last chance to get this a new peak, I'd say. Now 107, discount (with a few tweets) and the collab hype could sneak it upwards, but it's gonna be hard difficult now.

 

Even though #1 is highly unlikely i hope they discount just for the fight, like they did with Woman Like Me, when it first got a new peak of #2

I don’t really see what else they could of done, besides sticking it at 59p earlier like most were saying?! Which actually would of been a mistake at the time now they can use it next week to maximise it’s potential.

Shawn has a Netflix documentary which premiered yesterday, I believe! So I think that boost won't last too long. Not sure to what extent this song is mentioned if at all or whether people are just watching it, seeing it as the first song of his in the charts and then streaming etc..

 

Whether that has any long term effect idk.

Regarding Strictly, I’m inclined to believe they’ll perform Break Up Song, but given Head & Heart of all songs was performed earlier this series, I don’t see why they couldn’t do Sweet Melody.

Both Break Up Song and Sweet Melody have "on and on" sections, they should mash up Breakup Song into a couple of choruses of Sweet Melody to cover all grounds.

Didn't Strictly have the vamps on? 💀. I wouldn't worry about SM not being suited to the audience. The audience is also so broad that it's bound to be suited to some of them anyway, it isn't just old people and yummy mummies that watch it. SM even translates live much better than WLM does.

Woman Like Me had a very specific urban-pop inspired streaming audience. But that's it. There's a reason it was their biggest streaming hit, but didn't translate into album sales at all. Sweet Melody is a bit like Touch in that it caters to both audiences a bit.

Another green update on iTunes, closing the gap even more.. come on #1!
