I originally thought Kylie had this hands down, but I'm thinking Little Mix might just sneak it through. I'm hoping for a Kylie #1 though would love for her to become the first act to have a #1 album in the 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's and 20's :wub:

She literally has writing credits on every song on Disco, Golden and Impossible Princess, as well as either some or the majority on every other album (besides her debut and Enjoy Yourself).

If she's listed as a writer of a song, it literally means she can write songs. I don't know what else it could mean?????

Kylie has been an internationally renowed pop star legend for 33 years selling more than 80 million records worldwide, while Little Mix is a manufactured girl group created by Simon Cowell a few years ago as the female One Direction without any major success outside their home country...

 

 

This comment is entirely problematic but saying LM haven't had major success whilst bragging about Kylie selling 80 million in 33 years is a bit ridiculous. They're already on over 50 (maybe even 60 by now?) million in less than 9 years.

Ah I didn't know that, I take my comment regarding that back then. The point I was trying to make is that Kylie is just as manufactured as Little Mix are, so trying to diminish Little Mix's achievements for being 'manufactured' while comparing to Kylie is just ridiculous.

Personally I would like to see LM get it , only 1 of their albums has actually got to number 1 so would be nice to see them get a second , but wouldnt mind kylie getting it if she did, both will sell more than most number 1s this year regardless

I think with the head to head battle both will gain extra sales, I like both but love kylie and would love the number 1 for her to get that record of number 1s but for both they have had great success and careers and that wont change regardless of who debuts higher.

I put Kylie because I think she has the older audience who are more likely to buy a physical copy. I would love Little Mix to do it though.

Agreed. It should be a bit of fun and a throwback to when you often had unpredictable chart battles, yet it's turning into a stan war.

Let's try this again. For example, the songs on Golden she has basically written all the lyrics for. The rest of the credits on the songs are for the musicians, producers etc. Not that I and others haven't tried to explain this to you countless times.

 

Also on Impossible Princess, she wrote ALL the lyrics and even had a hand in the musicianship on it too.
