I’m not even worried about next year, moreso about the next single. If the single and album manage to be a success despite the low ratings I believe it’s fine seeing as the tour is selling well.

You would be surprised, not directly but the amount of negative press relating to a flop TV show does have an impact.

Well at least it was super entertaining. It’s a bummer the success won’t be added to that but I’ll try and ignore the ratings and just focus on the show.

Do we think the numbers could affect BBC’s support on the radio and eventually promo slots on the album’s release week? Like they’d be less inclined to support them?

I was thinking the same

Yes 100% in my opinion if ratings don’t pick up could be the beginning of the end.

Let’s face it Little Mix are nowhere near the force they used to be, The more flops or perceived flops they have, they will call it day ending in somewhat of a high.

That’s the way I see it anyway...Next year could well be the last album.

:drama: you guys are so pessimistic! :(

It's still 1.9 million more viewers than literally every other act releasing that week is receiving :magic: Look at it that way!

The fact they have a prime time BBC1 show on Saturday and Sunday evenings is INCREDIBLE. If the viewers are slightly below par, I really, really don't think it'll affect their upcoming album - it can only help it surely!? If the album ends up underperforming, this show cannot be the excuse for that

Be positive and relish in the fact that they have this opportunity so late into their career!

As long as they keep on getting hits, they will be supported by radios and the bbc.

They still sell well, their tours are huge and remember that they can still have to success - Jesy’s documentary

Yeah I’m focusing on enjoying what we’re getting righ now. Was just wondering if it had any impact seeing as both are “BBC”. I hope the press isn’t too negative either as they complimented the show a lot.
Yeah there's no way the show will effect the album negatively / it just probably won't help it as much as people presumed it would.

Completely agreed.

As bad as the numbers may seem, how many groups/mainstream artists have had this opportunity? I feel very... chill about everything. This show is just an extra thing to add to their long list of achievements, to me.

I'm upset for them that it didn't get the 3m+ we all expected and hoped but the fact they got to a stage where one of the biggest television companies took a chance on them and gave them a platform like this.

I'm now just gonna hope that ratings stabilise or grow. This is all good for them, even if the numbers are bad. (It's not like they needed ratings in order to secure a 2nd series for example)

Yeah that’s why i wondered. Thought there would of been some connection.

Does anyone know if that extra episode is true? I’ve seen it on twitter but cant find a source.

Jesy’s documentary got 2M viewers on the day and then 1.87M, over the week on catch up.

This could still do ok for them during the week (hopefully)

I’m not really sure why people expected such huge ratings. Yes, 1.9m is very poor, but it’s to be expected really. People are tired of the format and I haven’t really seen much buzz outside of forums/gay Twitter.
I LOVED this. It's so much better than I thought it would be. Fresh, current, so many of the tired old tropes from these sorts of shows have been dispensed with. And Little Mix are SHINING. Their personalities are at the centre of the show. Love it.

Now I've had the chance to catch up on episode #01 I'm even more disappointed about the ratings! I really loved it and so did my parents and brother, we're all keen to get stuck into episode #02 tomorrow *.* (would've been tonight but everyone else has gone to bed)

I was most excited about what the girls would bring to the show as their personalities have always been a big draw as a fan. They really did shine and I particularly enjoyed the credibility they were able to bring to the show with their own background. I wasn't expecting anything special from the format, just because these talent shows have been done to death, so I was pleasantly surprised by how it struck a satisfying balance between being fast paced and allowing us to get to know the contestants a bit.

I also wanted that exact line-up of 5 for the group so they got it spot on!

Really looking forward to more ^_^

I remember Elliott hitting that bum note at the live auditions and the whole room kind of gasped. It was just as bad on tv as I remembered it to be

Glad he didn’t make it - his eye winks were not great

I'm so glad Elliot didn't make it, his constant winking was just gross. I think it was the right 5 but actually 4 would have been better without the Welsh one.

Oh I'm sad to see ratings were low. I must confess I didn't watch it on Saturday night but I watched episode one on Iplayer this morning. Will also be watching episode 2 after work tomorrow on Iplayer... I very rarely watch live TV.

Ten minutes in and I had to cringe at that first guy (Adam?) talking about how masculine he was and all the awkward, scripted nonsense with him rehearsing in a room and him pretending not to know who Justin Timberlake was.

Nothing to do with the girls - they're hilarious and the stars of the show but I just HATE how awkward and fake these reality talent shows are.

Does anyone have the instagram of Elliott and Santino ?
Rosie has been in Games of Thrones as stunt double for Emilia Clarke :o

Yes that indeed was her introduction on the show.

When will we get the official ratings with the iPlayer and late views counted in?
