Posted September 30, 20204 yr Gary Barlow is releasing his fifth album 'Music Played By Humans' on November 27th, the same day as Steps' sixth album 'What the Future Holds'. But who will debut at #1? :o
September 30, 20204 yr This is annoying scheduling as I was hoping Steps would get a No.1 this time. I suspect Gary should easily do it though but - although I really like him - would welcome an upset. I can see it being maybe 50k vs 35k in Gary’s favour, if he can still pull in numbers like that.
September 30, 20204 yr Oh tut. I was hoping that Steps would have a clear path to #1 so they could achieve a “#1 in 4 different decades” stat. I assume Gary will manage it though.

September 30, 20204 yr It'll be Gary no doubt As much as I do love him, was hoping Steps would do it after their last one got to number 2, shame.
September 30, 20204 yr Gary will definitely beat Steps I’d think he’s one of those mums / grans favourites who’ll sell in droves over the Xmas period. I also imagine he’ll get promo on just about every show possible from the daytime shows through to Strictly. However Steps will also go hard on promo I think Gary’s got it on lock. I have a bit of a hunch that here might be a big release by a more current artist dropping around that time what’s as of yet not announced but of those two I sadly don’t think Steps stand a chance I think Gary will outsell and it won’t even be close.
