I love how it's turned into me supposedly having this opinion because I think £16 is alot of money.

I could quite happily pay £16 IF I wanted too...

Personally, the production is hardly going to be epic, it's simply a move to generate cash when there's a WHOLE host of other ways Kylie's team could do this without actually charging her fans (ALA Compare The Market with Little Mix).

Easy to get some sponsors, brand deals and then do a free concert thus giving everyone work...

Instead they've instantly gone for lets charge fans which is lazy. Mel C fair enough but a name like Kylie could of easily got brands to sponsor it.

Still don't agree a Cinema film (like Little Mix) fair enough...A at home 50 minute concert on a laptop or TV for £16 NO.

Also, once you've watched it that's it GONE.

Totally get it's business but its sour on the fans.

How did I know Little Mix would be brought into this lmao?

So you're willing to pay money to watch a Little Mix concert that you've likely already been to see live, but you don't think there should be a fee for a brand new virtual concert by Kylie?

I never said anything about a 'no fee' show but yes given it's an online virtual show, It would have been nice to be free.

The Little Mix Concert is completely different as you're at the cinema on the big screen.

I'm bored of this argument, even Kylie fans are stating it seems a little unfair elsewhere online.

Just my opinion but it seems off with me, whoever is doing it. If Little Mix did it I wouldn't pay for that either (Having spent nearly £130 on physical product).

How is it completely different though? You're watching a concert that happened, what, over a year ago now on a screen that's bigger than the one you're watching a brand new concert that a whole crew have put together for fans to experience at a small cost (there are so many other artists doing this just now too with virtual concerts so I don't see why Kylie suddenly doing the same is such a massive issue?), but that's not worth paying for? Right...

Well I've got my 14 quid ticket and would happily pay that again!

Very excited for this, i'm officially making it Kylie Week at home so my boyfriend will hate me by the end of it

Whoaaaa, we'll have no homophobic language - and yes, that is what it is - in here or anywhere else in Buzzjack thank you. Comments have been deleted and can that be an end to it please.

Despite half of the UK's drag queens actually using the word I used..

Yet the term 'monkey' is able to be used freely, matter of context like.

You know full well that you were using that term in a derogatory way and that members would find it offensive. There was absolutely no need. You are welcome to have your opinions regarding this online virtual concert, just as people are free to respond. It wasn't personal and there was no need to make it so.

I'm all for a debate and to hear other's opinions if you actually scroll up and see the responses they are pretty rude (Insinuating I couldn't afford £14 for a start).

As for the 'monkey' post that's deliberately mocking me.

I actually like a few of Kylie's songs, I saw the article today and had an opinion on it, so thought I'd come into the forum and give my opinion.

Just out of curiosity where was the need to edit and mock my post? ;)

(sorry for the shitposting :kink:)

In all seriousness though how are you getting this worked up over her audacity to charge the crushing sum of £14 for a concert ~

I'm actually not it's the responses that are P*ssing me off!

It happens all the time in all sorts of forums on here, bit my tongue so many times watching people get mocked for having a negative opinion / debating against the grain.

This is going to be so boring for everyone to read so I'll drop it now.

The virtual concert is happening to provide entertainment for fans who are looking to be entertained - and it's also a business move. A ticket comes at a price, but only for those who think it's worth it / can afford it. That applies to so many things in life. For instance, whether or not someone can justify dropping a large amount of money on multiple physical album formats.

I thought Melanie C's live stream was excellent. Hers is the first live stream concert I've paid for, so I was quite curious about how it would work and if ultimately it would feel worth it. It absolutely was imo, and it's given me faith that Kylie, with the resources she has, can run with this concept and deliver something really special. In order for her to do that, her team clearly think this experience should cost £14-£16 to justify it happening. Agree or disagree with it, that price is fixed. I'm thrilled that Kylie's doing this, and there is excitement in the fanbase about it - it just depends on where you look. I haven't seen any negativity about it on Popjustice.

The Kylie vs. Little Mix battle has turned into something really childish (toxic, even)... I'm really over it. Chart battles can be fun, but it doesn't appear that there's going to be much enjoyment to be had with this one. I feel like the enjoyment of their music is getting lost due to obsessing over chart positions and who will beat who. One or the other act being #1 doesn't undo the achievements of the other artist. I'm a fan of both acts, I've pre-ordered both of their albums! Well done to whoever gets the #1 album (assuming either of them do), but my biggest take away from this will be whether there's new songs I really enjoy. That should be the main thing.

It's a 50 min concert that Kylie fans will love watching new stuff.

It's 14-16 pounds and no one is forcing you.

Course it is money making, people want paying. Arrangements, choreography the producers, the promoters

Yes it's gimmicky to get a few more pre orders today in the pre sale but also gives fans across the world some good promo where she can't travel at the moment to see them all. We are lucky in UK to know she is going to be on her TVs, but others across the globe don't get that sort of promo.

Other people will enjoy watching Kylie for £16 and may not even buy the album, they may just like music concerts.

If you don't want to pay I am almost certain it will appear on a reissue of Disco sometime in the future.

It's a big week of promo for Kylie from 6th November and I am happy to support her.

We complain when no promo then when she does promo still people complain.

I think I paid £102 to watch her in concert last time + £40 in drinks so a £14 ticket where I can watch with my headphones and no noisy crowds and with my own snacks and drinks will me perfect. I make a night of it watching this 50 min concert, streaming Disco afterwards

Anyone can say any music artist is ripping you off but that's can be said about anything in the world. If it's not worth my money then I know for next time.

Also some fans love collecting physicals of Kylie, doesn't meant everyone has too. Some have one format they want, others have them all. Sometimes £15 is a lot to pay for music some find £300 for 10 formats cheap as they earn that in an hour lol. Some think going out for a night out and spending £100s on alcohol is a waste, everyone has priorities

Kylie and her team never force you to do anything.

You afford what you want, you save up for what you want etc. Same with anything.... New car, house, holiday, clothes etc.

Let's all enjoy Disco and enjoy Kylie still being on our TVs because for me personally it's distracts from a lot of negativity at the moment in the world and also personally. ♥️

Guys I really just gave my opinion I didn't even know this was a new thing to charge for online shows.

Maybe I was dramatic calling it disgusting but it's in poor taste in my own opinion.

Nothing to do with the chart battle, nothing to do with not being able to afford it..

I'll confess I'm not really into Kylie, Like a few songs but I won't be getting the album so I guess I'm hardly the target anyway.

Sorry if I riled you all up but It really wasn't that deep until I started to feel jumped on.

If you are not buying the album then this really is not the thread for you.

That's like me going onto other artist pages I have no interest in and saying I won't be buying the cd, the concert ticket etc.

I can have an opinion thank you, It's an opinion on the concert and that's this thread.

You're missing the point, I never once said anything about what I intend to do I was just curious if other's thought the same which they did..

Jesus christ I can venture into any forum I like.

You mention every message that you will not be buying the album or buying the ticket........

Strange

You can hear the new mix of 'In Your Eyes' more clearly in Kylie's new instagram post:

I'm excited by the chart battle and am back Kylie for a win, but I do agree that the music should not be lost in the mix and that both albums are likely to be big successes, regardless of who comes out on top. I've been loving what we've heard from each act and I'm confident they're both going to be two of my favourites of the year. The chart battle should be nothing more than a bit of fun, if it's taken more seriously than that then it's a huge shame.
