its so baffling that this is probably her best single in years and its just not doing anything

Like with most Kylie singles they probably could have got it a week in the Top 40 have they released the remixes and vinyl together rather than waiting a few months inbetween. Such a great track though and deserves to be a hit.

I know most think the spread out of remixes, physical etc is the best option but for me i think its better whacking it all out in one as i think for most its the same fans buying all the remixes etc and streaming, i know the odd casual buys the song aswell, but for me especially on the 3rd and 4th singles that have literally no chance of success if they release everything on a Friday and get her that top 40 position and possibly get played on the official chart and the Sunday chart if she can get a midweek top 20 which will expose it to possibly an extra couple of people buying it. But look there is no right and wrong and there is always a method behind the releases and the main thing is her albums are still doing very well.

^^ That’s the thing now though, the post album singles should be selling the album and it appears they are not judging by its continued absence from the charts.

They really should try for a Top 40 - it’s wouldn’t take any extra effort apart from releasing everything in the same week and a Radio 1 spin will give more exposure to the album than it entering at the bottom of the Top 100 this week will.

Midweek #61 today, 4,220 sales.

The vinyl sales have increased slightly, so I guess they'd not fully finished processing all the orders:

3,395 vinyl (+28)

632 streaming (+147)

193 downloads (+46) [i'm sure this'll end up in the Top 100 download chart on Friday, so that's a nice bonus]

I'm quite confident this is going to end up exceeding 4,700 on Friday, and it still seems likely that the #100 on Friday will be a little over 4,600.

I shouldn't jinx it, anything could happen...

Throw it a few more streams and downloads if you can!

Just bought the 4 remixes separately on iTunes....193 downloads up to Tuesday, so low these days....I only ever buy mp3 for Kylie.

Number 80 isnt bad at all for today, i know its a 60 place drop from Sunday but we knew that was coming, it gives me a small bit of hope it will get a new peak tomorrow, but if its Top 100 at all i will be very happy, a new peak i will be ecstatic even if its only number 94.

I'll have to be more pessimistic than your predictions... After some number crunching (using the data I have from Wednesday/Thursday midweeks), it forecasts Real Groove ending up as the 99th best seller for the week, out of the 100 songs that appear in Thursday's midweeks. This doesn't take into account any songs that are lurking just outside of the midweek Top 100 that could be on course for a boost once all the streaming is accounted for - for example, Baby Shark.

I would of course love to be proven wrong, but I can't see any better than #98, #99 or #100 for Real Groove.

My estimates have Real Groove ending on 4719 sales, with the estimated #100 selling 4710. My Baby Shark estimate is 4644. It's very tight!

#89, #92 and #93 (your predictions) are all on course to end up with over 5000 sales.

I also estimate that Real Groove's streaming sales for the week will be between 1,000 and 1,100 sales, but the next lowest streaming figure in the chart is set to be 4,500+. So her streaming is about a quarter of the next least streamed song in the Top 100.

Let's hope it all falls the right way and it stays in, its call decided now so now we just have to wait for the chart.
.... last minute downloads may just keep RG in.... album version reduced to 59p or a 99p remix bundle would have encouraged so many more downloads...It’s not as though revenue from downloads is much to lose in one week....they’re obviously not bothered.

Fully expecting this to have fallen out the Top 100 today, a shame that means we probably won't be able to get an updated total for it.

As low as her streams are compared to other songs in the chart, 1k+ streams doesn't seem too bad for Kylie's standards considering it's been weeks since the last remix was released. The totals we got for the 'DISCO' singles in February showed that 'Say Something' and 'Magic' had been averaging 1.6k-1.9k chart sales since November, which obviously included the post-album release boost too. Possibly 'Real Groove' is achieving higher weekly chart sales than either other single would have been in February.

From Music Week (up to w/e 04/02/21*):

75,555 Say Something

46,986 Magic

24,730 Real Groove

2020 sales: 112,916 (9,304) DISCO

Last known total + weekly average

54,682 Say Something (w/e 19/11/20) 1,898 average

30,283 Magic (w/e 26/11/20) 1,670 average

17,339 Real Groove (w/e 14/01/21) 2,464 average

* Not clear what date the totals are up to as various figures elsewhere are dated all across January but I'm assuming these totals are correct to 4th February.

^ I'm nervous, I really want it to stay Top 100 so that we have a sales update! If it's not Top 100 it'll be so frustrating because if that ends up being the case, I'm sure it'll only be a position or two away.

I dont have high hopes it will chart today but equally il be disappointed if it misses out as if it does it wont be by much, def a chart I will be scrolling to read the bottom part first.

Many years ago, Official Charts used to post the chart positions with section of 10 positions per webpage (sorry, this is off topic!) but I'll never forget how devastated I felt when checking the album chart for Girls Aloud - Chemistry and getting down to #10 and it wasn't Top 10  and it was of course at the very top of page 2 at #11 <_<

Keeping everything crossed for Real Groove...

Those Feb totals always seemed too low for Magic and Real Groove.

It’s almost as though the RG remix and album version weren’t added together. Of course, downloads have plummeted in recent years across the board. Even the improved streaming for Magic and Real Groove doesn’t make up the difference and of course we don’t know how many are UK streams.
