TikTok is surely the most organic way for songs to gain popularity? Unlike Spotify playlists, blogs, radio playlists and TV performances it’s completely a result of human beings finding a song that they like and showing it to others... I reckon if it was all your favourite artists who got popular from TikTok as opposed to music that’s more teen oriented/from genres you’re not a fan of you wouldn’t be mouthing off about it like you do.

That being said, there are some songs pushed on TikTok by labels. I remember there was a "Daisy Challenge" with the Ashnikko song and a sponsored banner the day after it came out :lol:

Having now listened to Ariana's album I can immediately see why 'pov' has taken off so quickly on TikTok, its lyrics sound very easily suited for TikTok trends. Can definitely see the song becoming a huge hit (and I won't be mad, it is one of the better songs on the album, certainly better than '34+35').
