I've only just looked at this thread, pleased to see how well I'm doing so far! Will be dropping a few points in the second half though.

I thought Jack Johnson would have been one of the harder ones that I got so far. Oops.

Have basically just got all of the easiest ones so far (go figure) but I think there is one I got in the second half that might have a slightly lower score

Argh, kicking myself for not recognizing Rag'n'Bone Man, and guessing N-Dubz on the wrong album cover  Actually this is going well so far but I'm shocked at how many of these are getting 20+ people guessing it correctly...at this rate the final results will be very competitive!

I tried not to do much searching. I did the title for a couple that I knew who the artist was, and didn't check what my thoughts were which is why some are wrong, or try to find any randoms. The only thing I searched was the text on the Flo-Rida one, but decided not to answer it as I couldn't justify the cheating!

There's nothing I haven't got that I think I should have, Dave maybe as I've listened to it a reasonable amount but I'm not thinking it was an obvious miss. Even the two I thought were really familiar (The Wanted and Birdy) absolutely aren't

21. Major Lazer – Free The Universe

Release year: 2013 UK Chart Peak: #34 Self-Titled: No

3b295915-d299-4242-8632-fa1aafff9743.jpg

One of, what I suspected would be, the lesser known albums of this quiz due to it’s chart peak and that no major hits came from this era, Free The Universe was the second studio album by Major Lazer. It featured the likes of Santigold, Peaches, Tyga, Flux Pavilion, Bruno Mars, Wyclef Jean, Shaggy and more. Get Free was the only single that made any real impact in the UK, despite not breaking into the Top 40 Singles Chart. The animated artwork on this album seems to depict cartoon soldiers branding various implements of war and music.

Five-piece girl group Fifth Harmony may not have had the most chart dominating career as a group, but their album 7/27 was a UK Top 10 album in 2016 and contained the singles Work From Home, All In My Head (Flex) and That’s My Girl. The artwork shows the group on a desert road with a black car against a backdrop of mountains and a blue sky.

English singer Ellie Goulding released her third studio album in November 2015 entitled Delirium. It achieved a peak of #3 on the UK Album Chart and was later certified platinum. The album itself spawned three singles; On My Mind, Army and Something In The Way You Move, as well as containing her UK #1 single Love Me Like You Do released previously that year. The artwork was pretty hard to miss, with the popstar baring all, simply wearing an oversized fur coat with not much else on other than that.

I remember seeing the artwork for Delirium when it came out and thinking it was a little risque for Ellie! More akin to a Beyonce or Rihanna cover!

24. Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory

Release year: 2000 UK Chart Peak: #4 Self-Titled: No

Before Linkin Park came on the music scene at the turn of the century, there weren’t too many heavy metal rock bands breaking the UK charts, but the mix of metal and hip hop proved a success formula when Hybrid Theory had its release in late 2000. It was their debut album and it reached a chart peak of #4 in the UK Albums Chart. The band had hits with singles One Step Closer, Crawling, Papercut and In The End. Band member Mike Shinoda, who had worked as a graphic designer before becoming a professional musician, has stated that the band had looked through books for inspiration on how to present themselves for the first time. The result was a winged-soldier which Shinoda illustrated himself. According to Chester Bennington, the idea of the soldier with dragonfly wings was to describe the blending of hard and soft musical elements by the use of the jaded looks of the soldier and frail touches of the wings.

Thought more people would get Linkin Park - was instantly recognisable to me.

Yeah, same, and Jamiroquai too, I thought that was a really well known album cover.

I would never in a million years have got the Fifth Harmony one!
