Framed vinyls always look great, i have done a few of them but done my own frames for the vinyls, good to see both LM and Kylie selling well, considering they have the disadvantage of lockdown they are doing very well.

is it true that thursday streams used to calcs are the average for the week? Not exactly the thursdays numbers...

I bought Ariana and Ava Max (don't judge me xo) cassettes even though I only have a dusty cassette player buried in the garage somewhere, I'm never gonna play the CDs either and they're a nice bit of memorabilia. Might flog them on Ebay for millions when I'm old :lol:

It wouldn't be a like for like comparison though, would it - with all those extra formats and bundles and whatnot? I love Kylie and good on her label for going all out but it's not entirely fair to compare her sales to Gaga's, unless Gaga also had load of formats and bundles, but I don't think she did? I know there's know way of finding out but I'd love to know how many people actually bought 'Disco' this week, regardless of how many copies/variants they bought.

 

Isn't she streamed more on playlists etc and gets far more big worldwide promo slots etc. Kylie and her team have to utilize etc. The majority of people just buy 1 or two copies, some just stream. Just because a few on here but everything doesn't mean everyone does

As a label you have to work with what you've got though. Some of the singles Kylie has released over the past 5 years could have easily fitted in on the big Spotify playlists and gotten her more attention, but the industry is sexist and ageist, and won't allow that to happen. Her team have to work with what they have - and if they have a fanbase willing to buy multiple versions of the same thing, the no-brainer business decision is to utilise that. At least the formats are nice and well thought out, so the collectors do have lots of nice additions unlike Bieber who did different coloured covers with "Y" "U" "M" "M" "Y".
