Out of interest, is there any other female artists that have such big "collector" fanbases as Kylie? I've seen quite a lot of people who've bought 10+ copies on Twitter, and we have a member here even who has bought 29. But I always feel as though despite having similar(ish) fanbases , her peers don't seem to incur the same amount of loyalty. Madonna, despite a huge fanbase still, (I know they're not the same artist, and there are differences in fanbases before anyone comes for me) doesn't seem to have the same level of loyal collector fans that Kylie does. Or is it that she just doesn't take advantage of the formats to the same level? I genuinely can't think of many other longer standing female artists who's fans go as hard. I feel like someone like Gaga could take advantage of a similar loyalty to collecting lots of different formats in years to come?

As said it would be Madonna - she still has a large dedicated collector fanbase.

For her last album she released -

• Standard CD

• Deluxe CD

• HMV Exclusive CD

• Standard Cassette

• Deluxe Cassette

• Blue Glitter Cassette

• Black Vinyl

• Pride Picture Disc

• Clear Vinyl

• Deluxe Boxset

Obviously LM and Kylie are just taking advantage of the situation like everyone else but it won't be sustainable and in 2 years this tactic will be over when the OCC is forced to weight streaming heavier and heavier on the albums chart.

You said the same thing last time, yet here we are. 🤷

Wow Kylie is really doing everything! Would be quite something if she manages more than Chromatica's 52k.

It wouldn't be a like for like comparison though, would it - with all those extra formats and bundles and whatnot? I love Kylie and good on her label for going all out but it's not entirely fair to compare her sales to Gaga's, unless Gaga also had load of formats and bundles, but I don't think she did? I know there's know way of finding out but I'd love to know how many people actually bought 'Disco' this week, regardless of how many copies/variants they bought.

I do agree, you can't compare like-for-like, but I suppose the multi formats that Kylie offers makes up for the lack of streaming and commercial radio support, which Gaga has so much more of.

These aren't official figures but I've seen the following on other sites

1. Kylie 45,093

2. Little Mix 41,002

They were posted this morning, they seem to be 'correct' although there's still missing data. It doesn't look like Kylie's cassettes from yesterday have been added yet.

Re: Disco cassettes

The e-mail i got about the cassette bundle said the double tape was out of stock & it'd be dispatched when it was back.

Would that mean they won't be counted in chart totals yet?

That's right, a sale is only a sale when it's dispatched.

They’re not pressed, just a light joke towards the situation. I think they’re Kylie fans, aren’t they?

As someone else has posted, Gaga also did multiple formats so I think it’s a fair comparison really.

either way both albums looking pretty set to both be in the Top 5 highest first week sales of the year is pretty phenomenal.

a girl group still selling so consistently after TEN YEARS is unheard of.

I've ended up getting 4 copies of this album just to get signed stuff. (I only bought one of Golden, the deluxe book CD).

I might frame the signed vinyl actually.

Was there an actual signed Vinyl? Most vinyls look to be with a signed picture or the original test pressings where the inside sleeve looked signed.

I’m now on 29 copies ☠️ But I don’t care - I’ve loved her since I was 8 and collect everything anyway so am not going to stop now

you're insane gurl

(i love it)
