Girls Aloud beat One True Voice on Popstars the Rivals...

I was just gonna mention Girls Aloud. It came down to who had the better single and SOTU was a smash!

In terms of a second series - I think I would much rather have a ‘Making The Band’ style spin off following the girls preparing for tour. Creative meetings, planning the visuals, outfits, dance rehearsals etc. Bring us on the journey!

Second season needed just so I can audition please :yahoo:

Happy with Since September winning and looking forward to seeing them!

But Girls aloud didnt beat One true voice though, unless you class that both released singles and GA just turned out to be most successful,

Leigh sounded incredible on Secret Love Song. I actually got goosebumps at her note changes and belting.

Unfortunately Jade was slightly underwhelming. Was it just me or was her mic either really low or her voice not really projecting well enough?

The performance is getting a really great reaction and on social media, hope this can translate into sales for Confetti
That was the girls at their best, shame Jesy wasn't there to share but that performance is exactly why they're at the top of the game right now!

Yes one single boy band.

When there’s two girl bands to choose from like in this final the votes kinda cancelled each other out well that’s how I seen it anyways. A four person final meant that the more diverse groups votes got split so it made it an easier win for the boys.

With Girls Aloud there was only one other option in that final. In this final there were four contenders with two of those being girl groups. Idk I think Nostalia might’ve stood a real shot if they had sent Melladaze home in the first elimination show.

To be fair, I also don't think either girl group was quite good enough. Melladaze have come along but they're still very much a knock-off Fifth Harmony (and that Get Lucky performance was.... a choice), and while Nostalia are clearly talented, they didn't really provoke much of a response from me, particularly with a song choice as uninspired for them as No Scrubs.

Ychange were my top favourites but Since September also had a very clear identity and delivered strong performances, and they earned the win I think - particularly with their final performances. I'm looking forward to seeing them live on the tour!

I wonder when the tour will actually take place!

Like it could be a year away or so with the world right now. I’d so get tickets if I was confident of it happening but I may wait to nearer the time. They usually do a lot of shows in Newcastle anyways as it’s home to half LM anyways

Also wow at that performance a definite talking point. Would’ve been nice to get something what would’ve boosted Confetti but I suppose any promo / performance would help out the new album.

Overall the show itself is good and had some great bands, I didnt like the scoring system but the show has good legs to do another series.

That SLS performance was fantastic; our girls can SINGGGGG.

I honestly don't think any UK girlband can compete with them when it comes to performing (only Sugababes 1.0 when it comes to vocals and harmony), they really are the whole package. While I do love some others a lot more in general (Spice Girls, Girls Aloud, Sugababes, All Saints or even Atomic Kitten), they really always deliver and have grown sooo much. It's such a joy to see.

So what now with these bands? The prize wasn't a record deal so are they now having to try and find a label too?
What I like about Perrie is that she usually has her eyes open when she's singing and it makes it so much easier to connect with and feel the emotion and warmth coming from her voice. I think I was in falling in love with her on that last chorus she did.
I really didn't like Secret Love Song (probably because of Jason Derulo) but my word that performance!
