November 13, 20204 yr I've listened to it twice now but can't hear Mel anywhere, which is weird as she has one of the most distinctive pop voices I know.

November 13, 20204 yr There's too many people on the track for everyone to get a decent share. Rebecca Ferguson and Paloma Faith seem to appear on half the song though.
November 13, 20204 yr The Oasis version is on another level and I'm not even a big Liam Gallagher fan however his voice was haunting on that track.
November 13, 20204 yr I think it's nice enough, it's basically the same song with different voices. Like that Melanie get's quite a few appearances in the video
November 13, 20204 yr The song is absolutely terrible, but the video is quite cute. That's all I have to say about this lol
November 14, 20204 yr Basic arrangement and much superior versions by Oasis and Leona kind of ruin it for me, but I guess there are no big expectations here. It's just very lazy when they cobble these things together for charity, and the format (1000 people singing a line each) has kind of lost its appeal, in my opinion.

November 15, 20204 yr I kinda realize these things are more meant to be bought than actually listened to. It's for a good cause, and I'm certainly not going to take away from that. And I guess the thought is...by including this many big artists, they can get some sales from a whole lot of different fanbases. But. Y'know. These sorts of singles tend to get released...and then promptly disappear like they never happened. I always think...would the single not actually sell more for the cause if they scaled it down and made it a duet between, say, just Cher and Kylie?

This is why I never give these releases any time of the day. The way the UK does charity is beyond appauling, with a 'this will do' type of attitude, and it is really reflected in these type of releases. Like, just because it is for charity, it doesnt mean it has to be shite. Put some f***ing effort into it, you know?
