November 30, 20204 yr I was torn between Tilted and Q14 for most correct answers. It seems I chose the wrong one. It could still be Q25 maybe.
November 30, 20204 yr 24/28 for a song I don't think I've ever heard before as I'm listening now :o The riff sounded a bit familiar but the vocals not at all.
November 30, 20204 yr Author 13 – Echosmith – Cool Kids (2015) SSCzDykng4g UK Chart Peak: 17 Entered at Peak: No - 8/13 A fairly recent one hit wonder now, Echosmith with Cool Kids, a song which hung around the lower reaches of the chart for a while, 21/28 seems a good score for a hit of its size. November 30, 20204 yr #13 was a riff I knew I'd heard somwhere before but I'd never have associated it with Cool Kids (even though I remember that quite well as well), I was thinking maybe an XFM/Radio X-friendly indie band.
November 30, 20204 yr I knew the José González version of 'Heartbeats' long before the original (didn't even know it was a cover for some time), I do like the original too but definitely prefer José's take on it, such a calming and wonderful track  'Cool Kids' on the opposite end of the spectrum is a song that I've always found pretty morally objectionable and just doesn't sit right with me at all. So again, not particularly displeased to have not recognised it.
November 30, 20204 yr Author 14 – Calvin Harris – Acceptable In the 80s (2007) dOV5WXISM24 UK Chart Peak: 10 Entered at Peak: No - 8/14 Half way through and we get the only full house, all 28 people being able to recognise the introduction of Calvin Harris’ debut single Acceptable In the 80s. 2 more correct guesses than anything else, it having most correct answers is something which only three people guessed. November 30, 20204 yr Author I was torn between Tilted and Q14 for most correct answers. It seems I chose the wrong one. It could still be Q25 maybe. Unlucky!
November 30, 20204 yr Aww that was one of the 2 or 3 songs I considered putting down as the most guessed. Was just a little deterred from that because it took me surprisingly long to get it myself.
November 30, 20204 yr ‘Acceptable In The 80s’ is STILL my favourite Calvin release all these years and hits later. Great inclusion
November 30, 20204 yr Oh, that was so nearly my pick for best guessed! We'll see how far away I was with my choice very soon...
November 30, 20204 yr Author 15 – The Pretenders – 2000 Miles (1983) AEyGZlBdkaA UK Chart Peak: 15 Entered at Peak: No - 8/15 As we were nearing Christmas I thought it best to include a festive song, and went with one of my favourites, 2000 Miles by The Pretenders, a song which unfortunately doesn’t get close to reaching its 1983 peak in the streaming era. Still a great score though, with 25 recognising it. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the three that didn’t all have profile flags putting them outside of the UK where I don’t think it’s as well known, so unlucky wrong answers for Jimwatts and M4ngo. Correct Answers [25/28] – AaronTM, Ansel, Awardinary, BillyH, Bjork, Bre, Chrissmith276, CianS, Cremey, DalekTurret32, Dandy*, Danvember, Dobbo, Jade, Jimwatts, jlj, KingRollo, Mack, M4NGO, Paulgilb, PeteFromLeeds, SevenSeize, StoneDragon, TS0301, Vibe Blank [2] – N4yr, Rush Incorrect [1] – Riser (Pink Floyd) Incorrect ‘Odd One Out’ guesses: Jade, King Rollo, M4NGO Incorrect ‘Most Correct Answers’ guesses: Jimwatts, M4NGO Edited November 30, 20204 yr by RabbitFurCoat
November 30, 20204 yr I also nearly went with Calvin as most guessed but thought there were 2 other songs which would maybe be more recognisable and which are yet to come...
November 30, 20204 yr Author 16 – Glasvegas – Geraldine (2008) QGOCEOsBE3w UK Chart Peak: 16 Entered at Peak: Yes – 9/16 Now for the song which is comfortably the least identified, the first of two hit singles Glasvegas had in 2008, Geraldine, their tale of a Scottish social worker. It was the most predicted song to be the least identified, with equal amounts of correct answers to that as the song. It was an easy 'win' for it with all other songs getting at least 50%. Poor M4NGO confusing Glasvegas songs went with a later non-charting single. A section of similar-ish bands that were around at the same time also guessed. November 30, 20204 yr Geraldine and their follow-up Daddy's Gone are two of my favourites of the 2000s, so I am probably biased to thinking the former was more well-known than it is!
November 30, 20204 yr Author 17 – DJ Snake & Lil Jon – Turn Down For What (2014) HMUDVMiITOU UK Chart Peak: 23 Entered at Peak: No - 9/17 Song 17 is Turn Down For What from DJ Snake and Lil Jon, a song which was a long running minor hit from a few years ago which spent almost half a year inside the top 75, DJ Snake went on to have three much bigger hits over the next few years. It’s clearly incredibly recognisable still as the majority correctly identify it again. November 30, 20204 yr Author Geraldine and their follow-up Daddy's Gone are two of my favourites of the 2000s, so I am probably biased to thinking the former was more well-known than it is! I love all of the singles off their debut album, stunningly beautiful songs.
November 30, 20204 yr 'Turn Down For What' is another one I considered for the most guessed answer, surprised as many as 6 people missed it! Don't think I have ever heard that Glasvegas song.
