Unfollowing Alex and Leigh’s sister is the weirdest, If they were the best of friends why would that even be a thing?

 

It does feel really sad, I don’t think we’ve been told the truth from the day she was taking a break.

 

I just hope they haven’t fallen out because they’ve been through so much and genuinely were so close.

 

The reaching. She isn't obliged to follow anyone or reopen a situation she already removed herself from. She just left — let her move on.

 

She already said in her statement that she wishes the girls the best in the future, I don't feel like she needs to say more than that.

Well they probably all thought there would be 4 of them or nothing at some point. So it may come as bittersweet knowing that instead of splitting the band the other 3 will go on. It's all fully hypothetical and in my head, but maybe Jesy accepted to stay on for one last album thinking that they would all stop together after, and ultimately was upset by the other three continuing. It's probably just a matter of time before she or they say something about it at some stage.

We're having a discussion which we are more than entitled to do.

 

No one's saying she has to follow certain people just wondering what's happened between them all and why if she was as close to the girls as they made out why she'd randomly unfollow family/partners which aren't even associated with LM.

 

I sense in a years time we'll know more...

If I were Jesy, and I had just had to leave my DREAM behind because I was bullied so badly I wanted to commit suicide, I wouldn’t want to see said dream rubbed in my face everyday when I go on my own social media. I know that getting away from Little Mix will be impossible for her, and I doubt she actually wants to leave it behind and forget. But I’d want to minimise what I had to see of it as much as possible.

 

Unfollowing these people is just her way of removing herself from situations in the future- THAT and.. come on, she’s under no obligation to follow siblings, family and managers.

 

Jesy did leave and told the girls she’d always love & support, however I think there would have been tension IF this came out of nowhere, cause it would’ve put stress on all of them; but we have no proof of this, and speculation just leads to.. nothing? In this case. People look into followings and social media following too much and sometimes you’re right, but sometimes it’s just nothing.

Jesy has been checked out of the band for some time now, she didn’t post when Confetti was released either, so I don’t know why people think she would post now. Personally I do think there is more to the story of Jesy leaving than has been said, but that’s none of our business and I hope they continue to keep it amicable.

I agree with you, I feel there is some sort of tension too. Something is definitely off and her message when leaving wasn’t the warmest so I assume a disagreement of some sort has gone on. I’m sure all will be revealed in due course.

But so what if there's SOME tension? It's not surprising that there would be at least a little bit? It doesn't mean they hate each other forever.

There probably was some tension but it's far better than tension in other girl groups like Spice Girls / Fifth Harmony. I think a lot of it had to do with Modest but I really hope Jesy comes back with a massive solo track because I feel like there's a lot of hype around it and it could smash.

 

The only thing I wish was that they included her in mentions for sweet melody getting to #1

I don’t think she wants them to tag her in anything or draw attention to her in relation to the group in social media. They mentioned it on the radio and that was great, but it’s not a coincidence that everyone who works with them isn’t tagging her. I’m sure she has asked them not too.

Part of the healing process for her is going to be to distance herself as much as possible.

Jesus, this hyper analysis of Jesy is no doubt part of the reason why she’s decided to distance herself from her career. Just accept it guys, she’s human.

I agree with those saying it's best she distances herself from the LM spotlight seeing as she's just left. Ready for people to complain she hasn't acknowledged when NTFT reaches a new milestone lol

If she goes solo then she can’t be that against people commenting about her. Surely going solo when it’s all about her will just attract even more attention?

I mean in a group she was always the one that was picked a part, you can’t compare her to them anymore

If we're theorizing, if there's a reason why there's tension it could well be to do with what they've always said about the group calling it quits if one of them wanted to.

 

Well, Jesy clearly wanted to. So it could be that she's hurt that the other girls have decided to continue as a 3.

 

Personally I imagine she's just still in a space of being overwhelmed by her decision and so is just avoiding even thinking about or mentioning it. If she is highly emotional she - or her team - are also probably taking the strategy that to avoid her saying anything that people could take out of context, it's best to avoid saying anything at all.

 

And then as to why she's otherwise using social media, probably to try and keep some normality in her life instead of having to drop everything she usually did just because she changed career.

I think Jesy’s situation was always that the comparisons to the other girls were what drove her over the edge. Katie Hopkin’s comment mentioned that if they dropped her they’d look better. Yeah she’d still get some mess as a solo artist but there is no one else for them to compare her to, just herself.

I get that she got compared to the other girls a lot but if she went solo the comments would be worse.

 

She would be compared to the other girls still, other female pop artists...

 

In fact, I genuinely think it would be horrendous with all eyes on her and no support from any bandmates.

 

Even the live lounge the girls all rushed over to her, she wouldn’t have any of that.

 

I can see her anxiety building at certain times and she instantly used to look for one of the girls to reassure her usually Jade, I can’t help but think going solo would probably highlight certain issues more.

 

It’s not great talking about her mental health but there’s so much pressure on solo artists I’d be worried over time it could be far too much pressure (Touring / singles / albums).

 

In fact I can’t see her going Solo more focusing on different projects away from an actual music artist.

It’s very weird! Why would she unfollow those closest to her and the girls...I just noticed she unfollowed perrie’s cousin, Ellie, as well. Something else is going on

I really think something is going on - I'd appreciate if we are not attacked by members for discussing this as we love all the girls but something is clearly up and this is a forum so we can discuss this.
