181 Boy In Space - Caroline

182 Will Callan - Love You Better

183 Lauv - Lonely Eyes

184 Charlie Puth & blackbear - Hard on Yourself

185 Shawn Mendes - Call My Friends

186 Justin Bieber - Yummy

187 FLETCHER & Kito feat. Trevor Daniel - Bitter

188 Joshua Bassett - Common Sense

189 Kygo feat. Zak Abel - Freedom

190 CMC$ & Asher Angel - Nobody But You

I first heard Caroline by Boy In Space when it was sent to BJSC by Joseph, and since then I've listened to it loads and it's been a great introduction to Boy In Space's music - still need to check out more, but with new music from him coming now, it seems a perfect time. Will Callan's Love You Better is a massive bop, but still not in reach of his other songs released in 2020 that are yet to appear, while Lauv's Lonely Eyes is one of my absolute favourites from ~how i'm feeling~, as soon as I heard it I fell in love. Charlie Puth and blackbear's collaboration Hard on Yourself is a nice chilled bop and it encouraged me to check out more of blackbear, however I'm just yearning for new music from Charlie that goes back to his better days of pure amazing pop. Another Shawn album track from Wonder appears, this time Call My Friends. Admittedly this is one I haven't gone back to LOADS from the album, but it's still an amazing song on my album of the year! Justin Bieber's Yummy finishes relatively low, but considering it's absolutely among his weakest singles, it seems about right. FLETCHER and Kito teamed up with Trevor Daniel for a new version of Bitter, and this is amazing, while Joshua Bassett's debut single away from HSM:TM:TS, Common Sense, is a beautiful track that captured perfectly the type of artist we should be preparing ourselves to listen to. Kygo teamed up with Zak Abel for Freedom, and while it's not my favourite by either artist, it's a massive bop that I had on repeat for ages, and CMC$ and Asher Angel's collaboration on Nobody But You was a surprise for me earlier in the year, becoming a top 10 hit in my chart.

171 Troye Sivan - Take Yourself Home

172 Isaac Dunbar - isaac's insects

173 Jake Miller - BLAME IT ON YOU

174 Ella Henderson & Roger Sanchez - Dream on Me

175 HRVY - LDN 2 LA

176 The Vamps - Part of Me

177 Sam Smith & Demi Lovato - I'm Ready

178 Demi Lovato - I Love Me

179 Lady Gaga - 1000 Doves

180 NOTD & Nina Nesbitt - Cry Dancing

Our first taste of Troye Sivan's In a Dream EP, Take Yourself Home, came quite a while before the EP actually dropped, and while it remains a very good song, it's probably my least favourite from the project and I got tired of it quite quickly, but going back and listening later down the line has worked wonders. The title track from Isaac Dunbar's second project isaac's insects is a great song and builds to such a dramatic climax, while Jake Miller's BLAME IT ON YOU is quite possibly one of his best songs to date, definitely the best he's done recently with many EP projects out there. Ella Henderson hasn't wowed me since her debut album Chapter One with so many dance collaborations out there that have been mediocre at best, but Dream on Me is a return to form; the collaboration with Roger Sanchez is so great. Technically LDN 2 LA shouldn't exist because HRVY's debut album Can Anybody Hear Me? didn't come to fruition and was cancelled at the last minute, but after hearing the song it's a highlight from the tracks we hadn't heard, so I'm glad it's out there in some capacity. The Vamps' Part of Me took a while to grow, but now it's one of my favourite album tracks on Cherry Blossom, while double Demi Lovato sees her collaboration with Sam Smith on I'm Ready appear, as well as solo single I Love Me - neither stuck around for long in my chart but the latter was a top 10 hit for Demi. Lady Gaga's 1000 Doves remains one of my favourite album tracks from Chromatica with such a feel-good vibe to it, and NOTD and Nina Nesbitt's collaboration on Cry Dancing is one of the latest in a long line of NOTD songs that are absolute bangers!

161 Cheat Codes feat. CXLOE - Between Our Hearts

162 New Rules - Pasta

163 Dermot Kennedy - Giants

164 Jake Bugg - All I Need

165 AJ Mitchell - Burn

166 Kygo & Tina Turner - What's Love Got to Do With It

167 L Devine - Don't Say It

168 HRVY - Baby, I Love Your Way

169 Ariana Grande feat. Ty Dolla $ign - safety net

170 Powfu feat. beabadoobee - death bed (coffee for your head)

Cheat Codes' collaboration with CXLOE on Between Our Hearts took me by surprise as I haven't really paid attention to anything by Cheat Codes in a while, and this was a massive bop so I'm firmly reinvested in their work now and everything since has been great too. New Rules' Pasta is a lovely, cute song that I love going back to a lot, while Dermot Kennedy's Giants is another great track. Jake Bugg's still keeping us waiting for his next album, but single All I Need quenched my thirst and left me wanting more as it's definitely one of his best in a while. AJ Mitchell's Burn isn't quite up there with his highest highs, but it was still nice to hear more from him later in the year. Kygo and Tina Turner's What's Love Got to Do With It failed to match Higher Love in terms of lasting impact, however it's still a good remix. L Devine's Don't Say It popped up on my Discover Weekly and was an attempted BJSC entry for Sandénia, but sadly the song was 'too big' and didn't make it - still love it now! HRVY's cover of Baby, I Love Your Way is stunning, despite being released after the cancellation of his debut album citing the music not being true to himself anymore (yet going on to put this out there which is not too different at all). Ariana Grande's collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign for safety net is my favourite track on her album Positions, and Powfu's death bed (coffee for your head) is a great song, and definitely one of the better official chart hits that I've paid attention to in recent times.

Good to see Take Yourself Home - although very low :D

Also Yes to All I Need making an appearance on here - always good to see Jake Bugg :)

Safety Net  I'm always happy to see Ariana appear in these type of countdowns.

Boyshit is a brilliant song too that is still growing on me with the recent video release. Will probably rank high in my 2021 EOY chart.

'Giants' great to see that in your countdown.

I enjoyed Kygo's remix of 'What's Love Got To Do With It ' shame it didn't peak higher. and also 'death bed (coffee for your head) that just.missing out on my EOY Top 40.

Fab to see Cry Dancing in here! Big fan of that, I've only listened to music by them sporadically but this one really grabbed me. Caroline, Death Bed, Freedom and Dream On Me are other recent highlights - the first three all made my weekly Top 40 and Ella just missed out!

(oh and The Key To Life on Earth as well, missed that on the last page but  Needless to say that will be VERY high up my countdown!)

151 Madison Beer - Baby

152 Niall Horan - No Judgement

153 Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky

154 AJ Mitchell - Everytime

155 EBEN - Sad Song

156 Lennon Stella feat. Charlie Puth - Summer Feelings

157 Lil Nas X - HOLIDAY

158 Callum Beattie - Salamander Street

159 Ellie Goulding feat. Lauv - Slow Grenade

160 Shawn Mendes - Always Been You

Another Madison Beer track up next, and this time it's Baby. This one was a lot more instant than some of the songs that came before it for me; a great bop that has a fantastic video to go along with it too. Niall Horan's second album was just as good as his first for me (after a few listens), and No Judgement is a cute little song that fits in perfectly with everything else he's released. Miley Cyrus' Midnight Sky is quite possibly one of the most overrated songs of 2020 for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song and going back to it more recently I've enjoyed it more now the hype's died down, but yeah it's not quite as amazing to me as others will make out. AJ Mitchell's cover of Britney Spears' Everytime is quite possibly one of my all-time favourite covers of a song? It's so beautiful and his voice is suited perfectly to the song. An original ballad like this on the album please AJ? EBEN's Sad Song appears here, while Lennon Stella's collaboration with Charlie Puth, Summer Feelings, is also here. Lil Nas X came back to us with a holiday-themed single (aptly titled HOLIDAY). It didn't quite go down a massive storm, but it's a great song and it was nice to hear more from him after a storm of a first 'era'. Callum Beattie's Salamander Street I had heard on the radio loads casually, but it wasn't until I checked out his album that this properly clicked with me, and being so close geographically to the famous street that the song is about was amusing. Ellie Goulding and Lauv's collaboration on Slow Grenade is by far my favourite of Ellie's Brightest Blue era, among a sea of other songs that are pretty terrible, so it was nice she got some help to improve the quality of the album. Finally, Shawn Mendes' Always Been You is a great song, building to a dramatic climax and showing off the VOCALS, despite not being among the absolute best on Wonder.

141 Aitch & AJ Tracey feat. Tay Keith - Rain

142 Shawn Mendes - Song For No One

143 AJ Mitchell feat. Rich the Kid - Spring Break

144 Jack Gilinsky feat. Don Toliver - My Love

145 Seeb, Goodboys & HRVY - Unfamiliar

146 Jake Miller - SAVED ME

147 Lauv & blackbear - if i were u

148 The Vamps - Glory Days

149 New Rules - My Guitar

150 5 Seconds of Summer - Old Me

Aitch has been a regular fixture in my chart, mostly with his debut EP AitcH2O, and Rain is probably one of his best collaborations to date, with the AJ Tracey and Tay Keith song sounding so good, while another Shawn Mendes album track from Wonder appears here. Song For No One took its time to grow in my affections, but now I consider it such a strong track, building to an incredible climax where he sounds better than ever, even if it is a bit too short a spectacular ending for me. AJ Mitchell's collaboration with Rich the Kid on Spring Break originally had me raising my eyebrows due to some of the... less than tasteful... lyrics, but now I consider it a nice breezy bop that slots in nicely to his back catalogue. Jack Gilinsky's debut solo single away from duo Jack & Jack, My Love, was a great track, although it didn't quite reach the same heights as his collaboration with iann dior (yet to come). Seeb and Goodboys' collaboration with HRVY debuted in my chart at #1, however it's ended up as one of the lowest placing #1s in the countdown, but still remains a bop and a half. Jake Miller's SAVED ME is among the best of his music, while Lauv and blackbear's if i were u is a great track. Triple boyband completes this section with The Vamps' Glory Days, one of my favourite tracks from Cherry Blossom, showing here, while New Rules' My Guitar and 5 Seconds of Summer's Old Me, are both amazing songs too - if not my favourite by each.

131 Shawn Mendes - Higher

132 Selena Gomez - Rare

133 Anne-Marie - Birthday

134 Madison Beer - Good in Goodbye

135 Boy In Space & NOTD - Therapy

136 Kyan Palmer - Quarantini

137 Shan Ako - Brave Heart

138 MARINA - Man's World

139 New Hope Club - Worse

140 Miley Cyrus feat. Dua Lipa - Prisoner

Another album track from Wonder, this time one that has the potential to be a future single, but that's obviously not going to happen. Higher is a great track, and definitely among the highlights for me - a groovy bop that could have served well as a single in place of Monster (or even Wonder). Rare is a nice track by Selena, while Birthday got me back on the Anne-Marie train before she derailed herself again releasing To Be Young. Good in Goodbye is possibly one of my favourite songs by Madison Beer to date, while Boy In Space and NOTD's collaboration on Therapy is a great song that I've still been going back to loads. Kyan Palmer's Quarantini turned into a bit of a COVID-anthem for me with its lyrics and being such a fantastic song in general. Shan Ako's Brave Heart is her first major release since appearing on The X Factor, and what a single this is! A stunning ballad that proved just why she was my favourite on the show and I'm hoping there's more to come from her in the future. MARINA returned with Man's World after her LOVE + FEAR era, and this is a great song and lyrically one that I've been connecting with a lot. New Hope Club's Worse is another bop from the trio that seem to deliver bops by the bucket-load, while Miley Cyrus' collaboration with Dua Lipa I probably prefer a lot to Midnight Sky, so it was great that the two had their moment together and that it helped keep Miley's name out there for a bit while Dua was still riding high too.

Oooh finally my faves are turning up :o 'Rain' was definitely a bop! I'd have thought Aitch and AJ Tracey could record literally anything and it'd be a big hit on name power alone, so I'm glad that was a genuinely great song. And 'Old Me' is indeed amazing :cheeseblock:

Shan was great on XF and deserved to go so much farther - I hadn't thought to check out her music since then, so really glad you sent her to BJSC! (Although she deserved to go farther there too -_-) And I felt the same with Anne-Marie, 'To Be Young' was not the one but 'Birthday' was very shamelessly a pop moment *.*

She really did deserve so much more, unfortunately another victim to The X Factor's unnecessary drama :melb: Glad you enjoyed Brave Heart though, and Birthday too!

121 Lauv - Love Like That

122 Isaac Dunbar - intimate moments

123 Ella Eyre - L.O.V.(e).

124 Clean Bandit & Mabel feat. 24kGoldn - Tick Tock

125 Zedd & Jasmine Thompson - Funny

126 New Hope Club - Why Oh Why

127 NOTD & Astrid S - I Don't Know Why

128 Tori Kelly - 25th

129 Sam Smith - Diamonds

130 Bazzi - Crazy

An add-on to his album ~how i'm feeling~, the EP of extras that presumably didn't make the cut included the sublime Love Like That, a really beautiful track that I wish was on the album itself in place of a couple of other songs. Isaac Dunbar was on fire throughout 2020, and intimate moments being released right at the very end of the year was no exception - a great song that continues to show his growth as a young artist. Ella Eyre's L.O.V.(e). is possibly my favourite of hers in a long time having not been interested for quite a while in her output. Clean Bandit and Mabel's collaboration with 24kGoldn on Tick Tock is a massive bop, and so is Funny by Zedd and Jasmine Thompson, although neither had much longevity in my chart. New Hope Club's Why Oh Why is my favourite song from their self-titled debut album - a cute bop that I loved from first listen. NOTD and Astrid S' I Don't Know Why is a bop - not quite the best of NOTD but still good. Tori Kelly released a Christmas album in 2020, and with it came its lead single 25th - an original Christmas song that is so infectious and definitely one of my favourite new Christmas songs of the past few years. Sam Smith's third album Love Goes failed to make any impression on me whatsoever, however the one song that's the best of the era is Diamonds. It didn't stick around for long in my chart, but I've come to appreciate it loads going back to it. Finally, Bazzi's Crazy is a tune, and leaves me wanting more from him - he's not released much recently, but I need another album from him if it's gonna include songs like Crazy.
