^that makes no sense, why would all Xmas songs be gone except for Pogues

Not sure why I can only go off Amazon put up

Will almost definitely be coming for the first ever #1 to dip directly out of the top 100 the following week if either Wham! or Mariah get it this week! (Possibly Jess too, but you never know with Alexa, Ellie Goulding did after all remain as high as #28 the week after hitting #1 although I expect Jess will fall more as her song is more explicitly Christmas related and also just hasn't done as well to begin with).

I reckon LadBaby will drop out the top 100 this week.

Think it’ll be Ed, would like it to be Wham or Jess just to see the reaction on here!

I find it hard to imagine they wouldn't have already got enough residual sales from Friday-Saturday to already have a safe second week in the top 100 - dropping straight out of the top 40 again might happen though.

f*** positions’ drag, right?

I’m reasonably confident Positions is on ACR but think it could have been much more touch and go for Sweet Melody. If that’s avoided it could also be in the mix this week.

I think it depends how streams for the non Christmas songs rebound during the week - at the moment they’re so low that it might not be enough to claw back the Christmas songs’ huge early lead.

I voted for Wham yesterday but seeing today's Spotify numbers I'm thinking it'll be Whoopty now with a possibility of Ed as he's only 17k behind and way ahead dons ales
It’s very annoying that we’re gonna have to wait til Tuesday for a chart update this week. Any chance of the OCC putting an article up despite the First Look not being on today?
If Wham! go to No.1 this week with Last Christmas, they will overtake the Pet Shop Boys for the record for the most No.1 hits for a UK pop duo in chart history

The Tuesday update will give us a better idea anyway as today’s would have been a top 20 dominated by Xmas songs

The OCC might put something online tonight, some staff do work from home, Radio 1 are just concentrating on the tracks of 2020 tonight. Mind you as you said, it won't make much difference as Spotify are usually late to report the data. Anyway... moving on...

Think CJ will take it.

But I actually like the Jess Glynne track the most from those. 100x better than Ellie's River.

I think my last minute prediction of the first No.1 of 2021 will probably be Mariah Carey or Jess Glynne. It's hard to guess this one.
