Just got these in so I can start listening to the new semis ^_^

big up a lot of songs that I'd almost forgotten about, bjscs move quick

Voted in both

Having missed most contests this year, there were a lot of great discoveries in this for me!

Skall really on form *.* And Mulgracia's Jerome entry is possibly their best since Hey Mami :cheeseblock:

Me too :D Voted in both heats now. SF1 was much easier than SF2, but tbf that includes one of my favourite songs of 2020, and one of my favourite songs of al time.

And mine as well ~ there are a handful of songs which missed out on points from me in QF1 which would have got them in QF2, but both quarter-finals have a good handful of big faves for me.

A little over 24 hours left until the official deadline!

Eep, I forgot about this, and don’t have time to listen to all these songs in just over an hour ah well.

I'm fine to accept any votes I get during the day tomorrow as well if you'll have the time to at least have a skim listen before tomorrow evening!

Thanks to everyone who voted in this stage - got 27 votes for QF1 and 25 for QF2, which both match or exceed the number of votes I received in the semi-final I hosted for TBO XII so seems like a pretty healthy turnout! (That's also way higher than the number of votes for the qualifiers and quarter-finals I hosted last time, although that was when those rounds were split into 4 heats rather than 2 which probably explains that x).

Will get through these qualifiers pretty quickly but hope there'll be some people out there to follow along ^_^

Our first batch of songs from Quarter-Final 1 which advance to the semi-finals, in no particular order...

Cumulonimbia 130 //

Harmonica 128 //

Singerpurear 129 //

(*)

Séyetana 123 //

Caerfyrddia 128 //

:jump:

And it's the end of the line for...

Kat Cunning becomes the first top 10 hit to fall from the competition (though if not for the 15 point deduction she would have just barely qualified on a tiebreak). So far all of the qualifiers were top 20 hits in their original contest apart from Le Youth who came 21st.

And another batch of qualifiers from Quarter-Final 1 before having a look at the other quarter-final...

Quintessa 130 //

(*)

Vülkyria 128 //

(*)

Jadakissnia 122 //

Ramrynia 121 //

(*)

Pupok 129 //

(*)

:jump:

While it is also adios to...

24th (61 points) Wholune 125 //

(*)

23rd (62 points) African Grey 124 //

(*)

22nd (64 points) Numayania 126 //

:nocheer:

Tami T is our second qualifier to miss the top 20 of their original contest, in this case coming 23rd. The Strike and MUNA miss out due to their deductions (no shock at the latter being deducted of course but WhoOdyssey you could have prevented this!) - no deduction for Numayania but they nonetheless fall just a little short of qualifying with their 27th placed hit from International Teachers Of Pop. There's a slew of songs qualifying with deductions here, Jadakissnia being the exception.

Many-many great Qs so far! It will be interesting to see how the DNQs did here...
