Meanwhile as expected the Xmas Advert songs take a big hit, with Becky down 20 places on this alternate chart despite climbing officially. Griff is hit even harder going to #50 from last week's Non-Xmas #14. Celeste drops out the chart entirely from #30, as does Liam Gallagher from #24, Asian Dub Foundation from #27 and LadBaby from #31. Also in the Non-Xmas top 40 last week was Fumez the Engineer (down 36-43) and Shawn Mendes 'Wonder' (down 40-91 from being hit with ACR)

Top 40 was never going to happen, Dua Lipa isn't a guaranteed top 40 as a featured artist (she had a low top 75 hit only when collaborating with J Balvin last year) and the song was never going to get the streaming support it needed to debut higher.Ā As it stands, Real Groove has made DISCO her first studio album to produce more than two top 100 hits since Aphrodite, a small but notable achievement (particularly as Real Groove has been out for a couple of months and Dua adds very little to the remix).

Hope this can grow into a decent hit for him - reminds me a bit of Don Toliver's 'No Idea' also becoming a TikTok hit in the new year last year after being a hit in my personal chart on its original release in 2019.Ā So close to 'Body' entering the top 40, wonder if it still will or if its time has passed now hmm ~Ā Glass Animals with a top 50 hit we love to see it *.* and a good week for old indie songs with the re-entries for The Neighbourhood and Arctic Monkeys x2 (plus 'Mr. Brightside' naturally) - 'Sweater Weather' deserved so much more than its UK #49 peak so it's lovely to see it having a second life on TikTok.Ā Lol at the OCC crediting Charlie Puth on 'I Hope' but snubbing Jorja Smith on 'Peng Black Girls' and Lil Uzi Vert on 'Adderall (Corvette Corvette)' even though their respective remixes are far more relevant than the Charlie version of 'I Hope' :') at least their crediting of Dua on 'Real Groove' makes sense although I am surprised they have done that. Can never expect any consistency from the OCC of course... (edit: having said that it is the solo version of Popp Hunna's song charting on Apple Music tbf, although it's very low down so Apple must be a fairly low share of its streaming numbers).Ā ~Ā Also good to see that 'Madvillainy' got MF DOOM a posthumous first appearance in the albums chart! And a new peak for Juice WRLD's debut album :o
