January 8, 20215 yr I really thought they would have added Everybody Dance this week after it was featured in the BBC New Year's video with Radio 1 DJs singing along.
January 8, 20215 yr Omg come on Rina!!! I hope that means she'll get support from other radio stations and "Lucid" can manage to chart. :snif:
January 8, 20215 yr I think the order of those two events would need to be the other way round :P But doesn't Radio 1 playlisting also make it more likely to get played on other smaller stations as some take note of their playlisting? Either way, come on Rina! :D
January 8, 20215 yr This is the second time R1 have playlisted her (they playlisted 'XS' as well). That was just C-Listed for 3 weeks though, guess we'll see if she gets any higher this time ~ For some reason I’m certain it’ll be A-listed, sounds like a big pop sound and radio 1 like an artist like her who gives them a big pop song to push!
January 11, 20215 yr Tune of the Week w/c 11/01/21 Arielle Free: London Grammar - Lose Your Head Greg James: Arlo Parks - Caroline Clara Amfo: SZA - Good Days Scott Mills: Tiësto - The Business Nick Grimshaw: Obskür - Bayside
January 11, 20215 yr Not sure why Greg has picked Arlo Parks for his Tune of the Week this week when it’s been on the playlist for the last 2 weeks! Nice to see Tiesto and London Grammar’s new ones being supported though.
January 15, 20215 yr Yeah, I thought that might be the case. But unfortunately I don't think we'll ever know what last week's playlist looked like if it wasn't published and we can't guess a whole playlist so we'll just have to go with this! (unless anyone fancies going through each track on the playlist and finding out how many times it was played last week - and I'm not gonna do that ) Just done that for the Bieber and Ed songs - 25/12/20 - 31/12/20 ‘Afterglow’ 3 plays ‘Lonely’ 0 plays But the normal shows were nearly all replaced by anthems shows so there was literally no playlist songs played so was nearly like a void week. 1/1/21 - 7/1/21 ‘Afterglow’ 17 plays ‘Anyone’ 12 plays This week 8/1/21-14/1/21 ‘Afterglow’ 21 plays ‘Anyone’ 23 plays So it would suggest that ‘Anyone’ was either A or B listed instantly unless ‘Anyone’ was a tune of the week and garnered extra plays through that.
