Rosé isn't coming across as even slightly likeable right now - arrogant and believing her own hype. I think her top 2 position was justified but she's the only one right now that I'm actively disliking to watch.

 

Tamisha is wonderful, I really warmed to her in that episode :heart:

I saw a comment online 'Jan gave us eager musical theater gay & Rosé is giving us arrogant musical theater gay' & that's incredibly accurate to me

 

It's a shame bc I thought I would like Rosé. However I do also think she is being edited to look worse than she is and the lighting on the show this season is making her mug look harsher than it is too.

I honestly don't see the problem with Rose. yes, she is very ambitious and wants to do everything to win, but she does not come across bitchy to me at all.. I think generally speaking she comes across well, professional and just wanting to do well.

This series is finally ARRIVING with this episode. I largely really did not like episodes 1 or 2 but this felt more natural Drag Race~

 

Denali was my winner from the task so it was great to see the judges aligned with my own thoughts (for once x). Her runway / fashion looks were brilliant and that lip-sync was INCREDIBLE. I really cannot warm to Rosé, she's uber confident but not in a likeable way and I am yet to see her prove her worth and back up her big words. I must say however, her Vamp look was my favourite of that runway so more of that please!

 

Another I can't really warm to is Joey Jay - great talking heads but I was not impressed with any of the looks. I get the no wig thing but versatility is definitely needed. Maybe her drag just isn't for me but yeah, bottom of the pile for me this week!

 

Tamisha was my favourite personality. She rode that mother vibe perfectly and her whipping the twinks into shape in the choreography department was great to see. Loved her final runway look too, she looked stunning. There is a real sense of vulnerability with her and I really hope she shines this season, but it could equally be a "you have huge potential that is never realised and you're out 4th" type thing~

 

In episode 1, when it was said that one of the losers were going, I was ready for Utica to go, but she really grew on me this episode. Really warm and quirky, in a way that isn't as overbearing as the likes of Thorgy etc. Her Vamp look was S T U N N I N G and her part of 'Phenomenon' was great. I loved her final runway look too!

 

Finally, I usually gravitate greatly towards Asian queens, and Kahmora is no different. She is absolutely gorgeous and I really hope she has more inside of her because if not, she is an easy first out. Her "WHERE" comment in the critique had me HOWLING :rofl: More of that please!

 

It was a good episode and I am hyped for episode 4 now. Can't believe we are 3 episodes in without an elimination and also 3 episodes in without all queens actually being together yet :drama: I am saying the series starts properly from next week~ In the future, i'd probably skip the first few episodes because they were largely a waste of time oop-

I don't want to put Rosé into the 'unlikeable' pile as of yet, I think she's just yet to show some vulnerability which will help for sure.

 

In love with Denali, Tamisha and Joey out of this group. Utica is giving me Jinkx vibes but there's still something missing and idk what. Perhaps she just needs more screen time.

 

Cannot WAIT for 'the winners circle' to fall on their asses in the next couple of weeks. The whole divide can become pretty tedious indeed but as we saw before in season 6, it doesn't last too long. Still though, I can see this being dragged out for at least 3 more episodes as you just KNOW some of those bitches are petty as f***. Looking at you Tina.

 

Having that said, so far I don't see the winner coming from anywhere but the 'top' group - Symone & Gottmik are now clear frontrunners based on one challenge.

Such a good episode! Denali ATE IT! Tamisha :wub: Utica's looks *_* Utica is going to be such great on the runway, I hope she goes far. I'm not a big fan of Rose. Kahmora looked gorgeous on her runways - I do hope she manages to show more of her personality although given the big personalities of the other group she may end up getting overshadowed. I like Joey Jay's performance/personality, but not a big fan of her runways so far.

 

They were much better than the first group though, I can't wait for next week when the groups merge!

Well I guess winning isn’t everything as this was so much better than last weeks “winners circle.”

 

Denali - Absolutely killed the performance, definite stand out for me across both group challenges. You can tell she was out for blood after week one and it came through for her, she was fab! Great looks as well from her, definitely one to watch!!

 

Joey - Really likeable queen and decent performance, was really enjoying her verse until she started spelling her name and then it kinda fell apart for me. Style wise was alright, though I found her runway look the weakest of the four personally. The lack of wig I found distracting and I think it stopped me appreciating her looks more. Fair enough if it’s her style but I think it’s gonna be a hard sell for me.

 

Kahmora - Stunning looks but definitely the weakest of the six. There were moments in the performance her personality snuck out which were nice to see but don’t think she’ll be able to bring it enough to save her from being first out sadly. I’m glad we got some focus on her during the episode though cause I found her really likeable.

 

Rosé - Another performance highlight though it really bugged me when she had her back to the camera, kinda took me out the moment. Her looks weren’t my favourite, her runway made her look a bit bulky though I did enjoy her Lady look. Was a little worried based on the premiere she’d come across unlikeable but found her the complete opposite this week and I enjoyed her.

 

Tamisha - Absolute Queen and my new fave of the season, she just comes across as such a thoroughly lovely person and gives great talking heads. Her looks were all great as well, it’s just a shame her performance was a bit lackluster. Hopefully that was just nerves cause if she can bring the fierce I’d love to see her go far.

 

Utica - She was my top 2 with Denali this week, loved all her looks this week and her performance was so enjoyable. I hope they don’t just peg her as the weird queen and boot her early cause I’m excited to see what she’s gonna pull out across the competition.

 

I enjoyed watching this group so much part of me doesn’t want them to join and get shit on by the “winners circle” as I can just see the likes on Kandy and Tina bringing it up far too often, especially when this group have had a vastly superior episode in pretty much every way.

 

You can so see Tina and Kandy on like week 5 with no challenge wins still clinging to that one lipsync win on episode 1 :lol:
