Posted January 21, 20214 yr I think best would genuinely be Sweet Melody (they all sound so good, choreography is perfect and the song is a huge bop) and worst would probably be Touch and before anyone kills me I genuinely just don’t think it translates very well live. The chorus always sounds so limp. :unsure:

January 21, 20214 yr i disagree w/Touch. I think Touch doesn't suit a "lowkey" performance though. Touch on XF with Oops was REALLY good. They were so proud of that performance, they sung the entire thing live and it was just.. very good. However if you look at Touch on like.. the James Corden show they did, whilst good it wasn't massive. I think it needs to be a spectacle. Power ALWAYS goes off live, as does NMSS. I wish we had gotten more NMSS performances (as well as Power actually- I know that BGT performance would've smashed!)

January 21, 20214 yr oh wait another that is great live is Secret Love Song.. they've captured that ballad perfectly in every possible way. I wish we had gotten a version with Jesy like they did on The Search. I think that's my all time favourite performance by them? Or at least top 3. Edited January 21, 20214 yr by jsweetxe
January 21, 20214 yr Yeah, I have to disagree with 'Touch' being one that isn't translated well. It's constantly a top 5 highlight from every tour for me and the X Factor performance.. YAS!!! As well as the acoustic versions :heart: For me the best ones are (top 5): 'Shout Out To My Ex', 'Power', 'Salute', 'Secret Love Song' & 'Sweet Melody'. At least 90% of these performances are outstanding. 'Wings' is usually a good highlight too tbh, but only if they haven't messed with the production much! The worst ones translated to live performances for me... is... 'Holiday'. None of their performances have really hooked me in. I think I'd like the Compare the Market performance more had every other performance on that show not existed :lol: Idk... I think the performances low-key killed the song a lil bit for me. Oops. Also, I have to agree with 'Woman Like Me' (BRITS performance aside).

January 21, 20214 yr No More Sad Songs always goes off live with the routine they have for it. I love it, and then when they each do their adlib run! Honestly, Think About Us was really boring live bar the Graham Norton performance. I also find Hair really bland.
January 23, 20214 yr Wings is always a great performance, highlight would be One Love - Jesy was glowing. I don’t believe Holiday (unless remixed a la The Search) would ever work in its original arrangement - the chorus is far too limp.
January 23, 20214 yr I think the two televised performances of Think About Us were both great and really elevated the song. Worst would probably be Holiday. It just doesn't work that well.
