I think we have been so lucky in getting great opening singles and follow up singles from both Golden and Disco, but which set of singles do you prefer?

Golden!

On balance, Golden's first two singles are stronger.

Im kinda tied, i love both golden an say something and i prefer magic to stop me from falling so im on the fence.

Disco but Golden close second.

Ive gone with disco as i do prefer magic to stop me from falling.

Say something and Magic were the wrong choices to release from a strong album like DISCO...they’re two of the weakest...

she should have gone with Real Groove as 1st single and Miss a thing as second...

on the other hand Dancing and Stop me were the strongest on Golden so her management made the right choice there...

 

 

I can't agree that 'Say Something' is one of the weakest, although admittedly it doesn't quite fit with the rest of the album.

 

I don't really see 'Real Groove' as a "lead single" and I can see why they'd choose 'Magic' over 'Miss a Thing', it has a catchier chorus.

I completely disagree especially about say something, i still think its the best song on the album but i do agree it doesnt fit as much as all the other songs do. Real Groove is good but its not lead single material, real groove, say something and celebrate you are probably the 3 songs that dont fit with the album as much as all the other songs do but they are great songs. For me i think they have picked singles correctly so far from Disco.

Golden - I love Disco and it’s way up there as a favourite album but Golden is just a magical album, Kylie at her best IMO.

I prefer Disco in general a good bit more than Golden but i also really like golden aswell.

Stop Me From Falling,while great, is the weak link in the 4 songs.

I do like stop me from falling but def prefer music too sad without you.

Stop Me From Falling is a very popular song within the forum.

I possibly like both of those 'Golden' singles more than 'Magic', but 'Say Something' is easily one of my favourite Kylie singles now so that's enough to choose 'DISCO'.

Ya say something is a great song, im still loving it and it was instant for me, dancing i was initially disappointed with but grew to love it and still do, stop me from falling and magic i really like but not nearly as much. Golden and disco for me though def had the right lead singles.

So many of the singles mentioned are much superior to singles from the past that achieved higher chart positions.

Ya where is the feeling been one of them for me,

Red Blooded Woman, 2 Hearts, Into The Blue, Did It Again and Celebration are others.
