You'll find it more difficult to find someone who does like 'Perfect' on BuzzJack lol

 

(I quite like it although there's not much need for it to exist when 'Thinking Out Loud' serves the same purpose and is much better x)

 

I'm glad i'm not alone here LOL! Funnily enough I also always thought of it as an attempt to re-do 'Thinking Out Loud' but as a duller, inferior version. I would also agree that 'Photograph' beats both of them.

I also like Perfect, I think it’s simplicity is actually a positive thing, I can’t really explain it well but I think writing a song very lyrically simple whilst talking about growing up and falling in love, (“We were just kids when we fell in love” etc.) is actually quite clever and doesn’t get enough credit. I do agree that Thinking out Loud is better tho

I quite like "Perfect" as well. Although prefer "Thinking Out Loud".

 

Shame to see Ava pushed out of the top 200 due to the valentine's Day effect. But hopefully it means she re-enters high tomorrow.

I really like Perfect, it's a bit Westlife and sounds like it comes from 1999 but that's part of the charm, really only Ed manages to have hits in genres as diverse as a boyband ballad/Irish jig etc :lol:

 

Thinking Out Loud I agree is better, lyrically and musically, and sounds more timeless.

Check out some of the lyrics on his Loose Change EP, particularly Sofa, if you think those are cringey :lol: I found them quite endearing in an 'aww...he's an everyman like me' sort of way at the time but looking back not so much.

Let us enjoy this brief moment where all the people who will admit to enjoying Ed Sheeran's music are feeling emboldened to come out :lol:
I do like a lot of his music, he's not one of my favourite artists but he's made some great tracks. Ed is one of those artists where I find myself preferring album tracks and lower charting singles than those he actually got to #1!
