I've changed my mind - surely one final series to wrap everything up as I can't see them getting through all the exisiting plot points next week.

I wonder whose buried under the warehouse?

This was obviously setting up for next week's finale so not quite as dramatic as last week but still gripping television. Some spoilery thoughts ahead

We know that at some point Kate and Steve ambush and arrest the two Prison guards who attacked Denton in Series 2 so I'm wondering if anything happens to Jo while she's inside and if that can link back around to proving that somebody higher up the chain of command is bent

I know Line of Duty often utilises the same themes for their finales so part of me wonders if Carmichael's going to be rumbled as bent in the series finale leaving Ted as the only plausible candidate to lead the new Anti-Corruption Unit leaving this all open for another series?

I feel like a LOT has happened but I also feel we’re not moving as far forward with the overall OCG plot as I was expecting. Instead, more and more elements just get added, widening it up rather than taking it forward.

I think because there’s no chance everythings getting wrapped up next week (and I really wouldn’t want it to!!), my worry is that we have another finale where another person gets exposed as being bent but then we find out there’s another high ranking bent copper that they need to uncover.

I absolutely love the show and it continues to be incredibly gripping but I’m starting to feel that, in terms of developments/answers, we take one step forward and two steps back

Yeh true, think a finale with similar outcomes to the previous series would be a let down, need to wrap it up now. Especially hope there’s no showdown in the office like in a couple of the others series as it becomes predictable.

Def think Carmichael looks suspicious now or maybe just there to stop the police being uncovered as a whole.

10.9m overnight ratings! Most watched drama since 2008 Doctor Who Christmas Special!

omg the fact that they will probz get it by the spelling of definate

Jo to survive please :cheeseblock: I'm guessing that it's her fan that gets hit and Kate saves her

Has it been confirmed how long next week is?

Did anyone else spot Carmichael tapping her pen three or four times in a very pronounced manner during the interview scene? We were like OMG it's Line Of Duty so something like that has to be IMPORTANT. It's a code to Jo!!!

I was watching Carmichael very closely. I noticed the pen as well, plus listening to her verbal clues and facial expressions.

She’s one shady lady!

It might just be me but it all being Carmichael and Osbourne is just a bit of a let down? Jed Mercurio is at his best when he works with twists and those don't seem like twists and are way too obvious. He usually points the fingers at other people to subvert attention so I'm hoping he pulls something out of the bag. Kate has been acting really weird this series, still reckon she could be bent.
Kate being bent would be a SHOCK and explain why she joined the police but I’m not convinced tbh especially with the spelling of defiantly
If it’s any of the main characters it’ll be a let down for me!
I really can't see how Kate could be bent when she's been helping them take the bent cops down the whole time.

Easy, she's a plant. They could probably explain it with good writing, I'm not saying it will happen as ultimately I suspect it will be the guy who has been forced out by Osbourne or the other female high ranking officer.

I think it would be jumping the shark if it was any of the main three. Kate was the one who was questioning Cotton on his deathbed to get answers.
