Three Lions won't be around for long after their performance yesterday 🥲 (but TL wouldn't be a threat officially until it starts getting over double the amount of streams)

Seems KSI will be number 2 by Friday then. 418685 streams! I still think HA will be top 5 on Friday regardless

a lot of their positions fell but their streams rose.

KSI getting a solid debut for a concept he stole from them omg madness...

I can't imagine he'll sustain anywhere near that day 2, unless my ears are broke and i'm the only one who thinks his song is crap
The thing with KSI is his first week numbers are always insane but it’s always downhill from there. Especially his last single which fell down the charts quite quickly. So it’ll probably only hang around the top 10 for one or two weeks.
I asked on the Spotify Chart thread in the main forum but does anyone know why David Guetta's name is off BED on spotify? Its not on his top 5, heatbreak anthem is now number 1.
Amazing stuff. There does genuinely seem to be a new life given to them as a gtoup ever since 'Sweet Melody' tbh.

I was just thinking the same! He literally re-sang holiday with a different video. Didn't even change the song title!

Agreed! I genuinely thought after 'Holiday' they were on their way out but they've pulled it back and then some.

Never underestimate them!

I'm actually sad holiday didn't do so well. I really do like that song and it's production. I strangely prefer it to Break up song! #JusticeForHoliday

Really? Holiday actually did alright. It wasn’t a massive hit but I would say it definitely was/is considered a hit.

Especially with no real promo.

I was more concerned after Think About Us, Bounce Back and One I’ve been missing to be honest!

I get what Tawdry meant, but also you. With 'Think About Us', 'Bounce Back', 'OIBM' run and then 'Break Up Song' (somewhat) scraping top 10 and then 'Holiday' missing, I really thought they were in a strong decline and would struggle to see another top 10 again, especially didn't see another number 1 and Top 5 within about half a year.

Tbf I don't think Tawdry meant that it wasn't a hit. Just that it wasn't as big as it needed to have been after the 2019 that they had. 'Break Up Song' was perfect at fixing the holes, but 'Holiday' showed there were a couple of cracks still needed... thankfully 'Sweet Melody' obliterated it all (even before it went to number 1) and from that point it's been non-stop back-to-back smash hits (not middling ones like 'Holiday' or whatever you wanna class the 2019 singles as ) The kind of hits that they needed and have been getting.

I'm just so thankful that 'Sweet Melody' came when it did. It really turned everything around for them and now there's hype surrounding them and what they can bring as a 3-piece (when back in December people were literally "they're done now that a member has left"). I really think they could definitely smash it out of the bag with their first material as Trio-Mix and I can't wait to hear and see what it brings for them.

I still think the industry has changed so much now, it’s not about chart positions so much just whether songs stream well and gather reasonable support and sales. I’d say Holiday was still a massive step up from 2019. It remained stable in the top 20 and had good airplay.

Plus it sounds crazy but 2019-2020 Rap was bigger than ever, a lot of female artists were struggling more, It’s mad that in a year 2021 seems to be all about female pop music with the rise of so many female solo artists that I couldn’t ever see them doing as well in 2018/19 when the whole top 20 was full of Rap.

Sweet Melody obviously was what they needed but Holiday was definitely still keeping them on track as it did have reasonable longevity, it even managed to go back onto SCR after album release week and went top 30 again.
