March 7, 20214 yr Author gRu8S2Cpclg Ok so we came a dismal 10th place but it’s all good we’re just gonna get some Donna Summer bangers out there now as clearly she is not one of the front runners- with many of the songs being submitted by other artists I’ve grown up with them and connected memories to them whereas most people, including myself, have not particularly grown up with Donna so I recognise there’s not that fact that they might already be well-known. We move on with optimism because my number 1 pick for this round is a somewhat, dark, disco number, True Love Survives. I think the 2 number 1 non-single choices for Donna are Lucky and Romeo so I’m going to save that battle for the final non-single round! My only other option for this round is Nightlife which I put forward for the first non-single round but I was quite happy with how Tokyo did!
March 7, 20214 yr Just reposting this: As a source as to what is and isn't considered "uptempo", google states that typically an uptempo track is 120 bpm. I think we'd be willing to look at anything over 100 bpm (Beyonce - Crazy In Love & Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body both come up as roughly 100 bpm so we'll use that as a guide) If you can't be bothered to find out what would be eligible lmk and I'll source it! ^_^

March 10, 20214 yr Author Not a vintage round for us but hey-ho onwards we go!!! So this is a round where I’ve got SO many choices to get through here they are- On The Radio Last Dance Macarthur Park Love To Love You Baby State of Independence Last Dance is my favourite (because I have the Drag Race love for Scarlet attached to it) but State of Independence is a different sound to what’s been displayed. They’re all super strong pop tracks and would love some ideas on what to send LTLYB is one that I can’t imagine would do to well in this competition but it’s a fantastic song!

March 10, 20214 yr Author I think it’s between Last Dance (which is quite similar to songs I’ve already sent) or State of Independence which is a slightly different sound for her On The Radio and Macarthur Park are both very similar to Last Dance so can be swapped in place of that

March 13, 20214 yr Author So between Lucky and Romeo for this one- Romeo has a very Blondie-feel to it which I really adore and Lucky is her most streamed non-single and is very I Feel Love in its production
