Ooh gawd, it's last place for me :o though I'm not surprised, I knew I'd done badly as soon as I submitted my answers! I'm kicking myself now seeing some of the album covers I missed that I should have got!

 

But despite my wooden-spoon-taking last place finish (I'll just say I came 27th, that sounds better! :cheer:) I still enjoyed taking part in the quiz.

Thank you Mango for running it and well done to all the winners, and hopefully I'll do better next time!

Wow... Joint 1st... I did not expect that!!

Well done to all who took part.

 

I will say I got to 31 before the theme suddenly clicked on Friday morning and then I got the rest.

Themes I had pondered were No.1 albums (but there were two which didn't) and Studio albums (as Barbra was only compilation).

 

And it was me who guessed that everyone would guess a mammoth 36 right... Doh!

In my defence, the thread showed there were a few early entries, so I thought people had got most if not all and then I read comments on the thread where people seemed to be getting quite a few... so I went high. Ne'er mind.

 

Thanks Mango for orgasing. I have had one of the toughest weeks and this gave me something else to think about.

Getting 36/40 albums and only coming 17th is a little gutting but shows how impressive every one else was!!

kicking myself for not recognising Thriller, at least I don't own it, but not sure if I ever seen the Stereo MC's one

The connection came to me straight away for once.

 

I was never going to come up with Kate Bush for the album that didnt fit the theme!!

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone, glad you all enjoyed the quiz. At one point I was worried the theme was too difficult and at another point I was worried it was too easy so I'm glad I managed to strike a seemingly good balance with it! Though of course once you got theme it became trivial to fill in the blanks.

 

I'm going to check out some of those older albums I've never heard in full (particularly Fairground Attraction and the Stereo MC's) to see if they're as good as the critical acclaim suggests.

Well I'm around where I expected to be in this round! Glad I've got some points though at least, there was no way I was ever getting that theme so well done to those that did. Thanks for another great round Mango!
