March 29, 20214 yr Well done Pete and great thinking with that Fibonacci answer! I'm happy to be joint 4th, at least I haven't lost ground on anyone else on that score :D Thanks for a fun quiz Ansel!
March 29, 20214 yr BTW I can't believe you made the results clash with the final of the actual Only Connect!
March 29, 20214 yr Grrrrrr now I'm even more certain that the fibonacci sequence answer shouldn't be allowed :kink:  Great quiz Ansel, thank you for hosting it ^_^
March 29, 20214 yr BTW I can't believe you made the results clash with the final of the actual Only Connect! Indeed! That's why I disappeared...
March 29, 20214 yr Author BTW I can't believe you made the results clash with the final of the actual Only Connect! Oops! I always watch it like an hour later once it comes on the iPlayer so I forgot
March 29, 20214 yr Pete the puzzlemaster :D Well done! I'm so happy with 11th place. This was challenging but not too challenging, it was perfect tbh and I could use more quizzes like it :P Thanks Ansel for hosting!
March 30, 20214 yr Thank you for hosting and putting this together Ansel - it was good fun. Kicking myself over some of these, although I barely know any of those 2020 albums... :( Loved the collective noun animal question, I think murder of crows and parliament of owls are like in my memory from childhood somewhere and probably won't ever leave. Well done to PEte! Nailed it :cheeseblock: I was slightly thrown off at first by some titles sounding like Moby ones  Me too - and it didn't help that Moby “Go” was an answer on the real Only Connect recently.
March 31, 20214 yr I should have put this up before as it fits in very well here. It is one of the best ever moments on the actual programme. Get ready for a connecting wall. _2B8jeKQxRY
September 13, 20213 yr Here's how I intended for the wall to be solved. However, quite a few people managed to find other ways to do it (oops) so I've only listed overall scores for this round rather than saying which connections people got right because it doesn't quite line up for everyone! The first group is words that can be preceded by Don't to create a song title. In this group are Stop, Cha, Play, and Go. The second group is words that can be preceded by One to create a song title. In this group are Kiss, Last Time, Dance, and Thing. The second group is Spice Girls #1 singles. In this group are Wannabe, Mama, Holler, and Goodbye. The second group is words that can be repeated to create ABBA songs. In this group are Andante, Money, Honey, and Ring. I've awarded 1.5 points to anyone who didn't specify that they were ABBA songs. Scores: 8: chrissmith276, n4yr, JulianT, uptempo_owww!, xajnipi, Mangø, jimwatts, Doctor Blind, paulgilb, PeteFromLeeds, CJK, Bjork, StoneDragon, Jade, jakewild, LewisGT, Chez Wombat 7.5: dandy*, AaronTM, RabbitFurCoat, Riser 7: rio309 6: Soy Adrián, Suedehead2 4: dan::G, coi Anyone else seen tonight's episode?
September 13, 20213 yr I was just thinking of this when I saw it! A timely Manic Street Preachers clue in tonight's epsiode as well
September 14, 20213 yr Yes the repeated ABBA words question! Although I gasped more when the team couldn't figure out the components of a trifle on the wall round
September 20, 20213 yr Yes the repeated ABBA words question! Although I gasped more when the team couldn't figure out the components of a trifle on the wall round  I got the trifle one very quickly
