Is their back catalogue held by Sony? They have been really lazy in doing anything with it - they know the band can shift a decent amount of physicals so why they haven’t tapped into the with vinyl re-issues is madness.

It is a waste, there must be some issues going on that we dont know about as i think its strange step one didnt get the vinyl release for such a big anniversary.
Whatever the reasons behind it are, they missed the boat not releasing the vinyl version for its 25th anniversary.
When it does get it's long awaited vinyl release I would welcome a new cd release with extras to be released with it.
If they do it's likely all remixes they would add.

I know it’s not massive, but I’d at least like the three b-sides added.

*Dance Ranch - Confirmed to exist in an August 2022 YouTube video, Dance Ranch was another demo considered for release as a follow-up to 5, 6, 7, 8.
*Mirror, Mirror - Recorded by Steps but never released. The track was confirmed to exist when H posted an image of a CD-R featuring the track online.
*Stompin' - Stompin' was considered as a follow-up single to 5, 6, 7, 8 but was shelved in favour of Last Thing On My Mind. The track was eventually recorded and released by the Fast Food Rockers.
According to the Reach for the stars book there is a whole album worth of line dance esque music that was recorded initially before Pete Waterman changed direction wanting to make Steps more of an "Abba on speed" band.
