2nd copy purchased, I like to have one to open and use and one to keep so it's all good.

Hope more people do a download or two of wannabe.

Vinyl arrived :cheer:

 Yay! I still need to find a moment to play mine!

Has anybody else received copies they pre-ordered / bought it this week? :D

My cassette arrived yesterday. Now announce Spice25 bitches
Mine hasn't arrived yet, but it usually takes a bit longer. Had the same with my Sophie Ellis-Bextor vinyl last month.
:cheeseblock:

I had to go get him ice cream from the shop and he asked me if I was ever going to grow up #oh

Has anyone else done any downloads, thought people would be doing more

Ive downloaded two copies from 7digital so far and one from iTunes (the only one I had left to buy there LOL)

If the song shows up on the midweeks, then I will buy more!

Well there is the first look top 20 chart released today on BBC radio 1 from 6pm to 7pm. Then the full midweek top 100 tomorrow at 5.45pm.

Praying (but not expecting too much cos damn we've been burned so much before!)

It's so hard to tell. I'd not be surprised if they did only 1k physicals but also not surprised if they did 4k physicals too.

The only thing I've heard is it did better than Universal expected but their expectations could be low from Spiceworld and Forever not setting the charts alight.

Wannabe does about 1.5k chart sales weekly (it does more for its overall sales but it's streams are halved for the chart as it's over 3 years old). It takes about 5k to chart top 100. So we are looking at about 3.5k to make up. Obviously 2 formats helps as hard-core fans will get both. Also the extra downloads we've done this week and hopefully extra streaming too. Chris has been working hard as always he had 155 over seas orders he has done plus collected money for downloads.

Downloads is the easiest way to just add a few extra sales.

Keep downloading any copy you come across, tell a friend :)

Also streaming the song or making a playlist will also help too

Yeah the annoying thing is we won't get the top 100 mids tomorrow as it's bank holiday so have to wait for Tuesday.

Basically every sale between now and Thursday midnight is a sale closer to the 5k target needed so every download, stream, vinyl and cassette gets it closer.

I’ve downloaded a few copies on iTunes. Surely they won’t sell enough for too 20 though! Top 100 would be good.

I think if we ever got an anniversary album top 10/20 would be amazing as for Wannabe. I’d be happy if it was top 100, just to see a re entry again

I dont think we will get anywhere close to Top20

If we get Top100, I will be very happy but their track record of vinyl purchases isn't amazing (less than 1k on first week across Spice, Spiceworld and Forever). Promo has been massive with the Spotify colaboration and so many articles published, but I seriously doubt it will translate into 5k sales, sorry... not for a 4-track vinyl at £22 each nor the cassette at £12!

If they do make that, then good for them and great for us! It would mean much more releases like that in the future... But right now?....

Well it's not 5k sales of vinyls/cassettes it's 5k of physicals/downloads/streams. As I said they will do 1.5k streaming sales this week or maybe more if people stream more this week.

Obviously they have 2 formats physically too. This is a new release as well not an old album just get a quiet release on vinyl.

I'm told it's doing well but will be nip and tuck if it charts due to obviously streaming pushing it down.
