I trust Biff's words.

You are entitled to feel entitled though. :teresa:

You trust Biff's words over Melanie C?

You do realize Biff was only one of the producers for the Spice album. Absolute and Eliot Kennedy might have some unreleased stuff.

Let's move on. Let's agree to disagree about the Spice 25 track list.

Small OT but still related

What if the majority of the unreleased songs / material is unfinished stuff like this one. I know many artists start working on stuff, even register the song on ASCAP or similar website, but when they see the tune isn’t worth it, they just let it die.

I don't think they would ever deliberately work with or use something Elliott Kennedy worked on anymore. That bridge seems well and truly burned.

Touch era stuff is not an option either.

I think I'm out of the loop; is the Kennedy bridge burned because of the Forever leaks, or was the bridge burned before then?

Because of the Forever, Snog 4 Her & Man on the Mountain leaks.

They never mention him anymore and he doesn't get the love or even acknowledgement Biff does. Rewind a few years and he was the one they were going to for new music and input not Biff.

They definitely have all took the leaks personally and blame him for them.

But they’ve used and included old Say You’ll Be There and Love Thing remixes and they’re produced by Elliot Kennedy, surely that suggests some correspondence with him?

I can certainly see Melanie C telling the truth that they were involved with curating the track list. That could explain odd obvious omissions such as Bumper to Bumper and Baby Come Round, which would have offered more of a feeling of completeness to include all the original B Sides. No accounting for taste, I think they’re both better than One of These Girls!

Agreed 100% Jay.

I think I played One of These Girls twice on my 2B1 single. However, I do find the lyrics appropriate for VB's general absence for anything SG related: "One of these girls is doin' their own thing / Oh oh / One of these girls is just not the same." :teresa:

I have no idea how much of a hand they had in putting together the tracklist but if they did have a big hand some of the decisions might be very personal than what fans want. Like picking a certain b-side over another because they had a great time or amazing day the day they recorded it not because it's a better song if that makes sense.

I’m sure they picked the ones that weren’t b-sides for a reason. 😏😜

I’m ok with the tracklist. Of course, fans always want more. And with the Spice Girls, it’s not like we always got what we wanted. So it’s also fair that sometimes we let ourselves go with enthusiasm and dream of this or that unreleased track.

I’m scared as hell to say this (almost as Geri when she knows Mel B is on TV), but after seeing how well ABBA are doing, I wouldn’t mind a one-off EP or single (even a goodbye single - not a ballad, please).

Anyone have any intel on how the Spice 25 release is doing (in terms of pre-orders)?

Apparently some fans have found out that Little Mix's pre-orders stand at less than 5000 copies, which is wild considering how they usually sell...

I've noticed a couple of times that some items have gone SOLD OUT on the Spice store. Emma's bundle was sold out a couple of days ago, and so was the CD but they are now back in stock again. I wonder if we can ever know how well/badly they are doing....

Told you a surprise was coming :P

This is better social media though, building hype and make fans look forward to something. Not just keeping everything a secret and so fans feel let down.

I think fans will like it is all I'm saying, if you like unseen content then this is a nice surprise if it's what I'm lead to believe.
I bet it's the WDYTYA demo. What else can it be?
It would be a shame to already spoil WDYTYA demo that’s the only new thing isn’t it lol
The CD is sold out on the Web store, surprised at that would definitely think loads of the CD were printed. Hopefully they have time to restock it.
They should just make a cheaper version of it as it would sell like hot cakes :)
