Maybe you were not aware, but These Walls was the focus track on album release week. It was promoted on popular streaming playlists like HHUK and NMF. That's why it charted the best of the album tracks.

It's been explained to him numerous times before, but like everything it goes in one ear and out the other -_-

The song is boring as sin, and borderline cringe. It would be the one of the absolute worst single choices.

It still surprises me to read this take! To my ears it’s by far the most viable song choice remaining to be a single, and sounds like it would do really well on the radio.

The extended version of Anything For Love confirms what we already knew: it should have been much longer!

It would be ideal if we had some other verses (rather than the same part pretty much on loop), but it's still better than what was given to us on the regular album...

These Walls is the album track I've gone back to most. It's lovely and summery and the bridge melody is wonderfully nostagic somehow. It sounds like an early 00s girlband song, which is probably why I like it. I agree it has some potential, I know it got an early push on album release week but 20 million more streams than the next most streamed album track is quite some gulf.

Glad there's an extended version of the album, some of these songs definitely needed the breathing space.

I think it's a very good album myself, sure not as good as Future Nostalgia, but what is? I'm still happy with the album and been playing it a lot.

Falling Forever and Maria extended versions <3 Anything For Love seems to be even more of a non-event in a longer version though.

Tbf I do get the summery 90s/early 00s vibes from These Walls, and I could see it doing well on AC radio in the US. It’s just a bit beige.
It managed to climb 5 positions this week to 27. It will surely go top 10 next week!

Easily - with the HMV signed variant and the Glastonbury bundles on her website.

I've always thought the Extended album is what I imagined from the original release, with how the album was described back then and all that.

I still don’t think this album is quite as drastic a sound change as she claimed (but this could be my critique coming from having Madonna and Gaga as my absolute favourites who undergo complete and utter whole re-brands).

I do think the extended versions offer more and really elevate certain tracks from how they are on the main album. The album itself is pretty short and sweet but i actually think it’s pretty solid. Now I’ve had time to have the album digest it does kind of flourish over time and I think the key to her having such strong longevity is that a lot of her music seems to really take its time to really hit and then it becomes long lasting.

I think initially because she’d kind of mentioned the sound change herself I (and I think others to be fair) properly expected something more drastic. I said from the start she’d have strong longevity and that her team would ensure it would be a success and Dua too if there’s one thing about her she’s a rarity in the streaming era in that she’s really managed to get full long lasting eras complete with re-releases. I wouldn’t be surprised if rather than DL4 happening if we get some sort of extension to this album.

Glasto performance gave quite a nice boost to her discography on Apple Music, hopefully the same will happen tomorrow on Spotify as well :cheer:
