This year it does feel like it’s been forced on us.

I think that’s football fans though, with lockdown etc it’s just massively heightened it all even more so.

It’s because England got to the semi final of the last tournament and have better players now so the hype machine is enforce this time unlike in 2018!

Its not so much about music/Spotify - it's literally everything. If I want to go to most bars for a drink, every work conversation, hearing it outside my flat people chanting, then this is just another factor. I do actively try to ignore it but people do try and make sure I can't and to me it's not inclusive at all but this probably isn't a conversation for here nor one that you will probably agree with!

If by not inclusive you mean not LGBTQ+ friendly then things have changed a lot in that regard. The local team I support always flies the club flag with the LGBTQ colours in it at one part of the ground.

There’s loadsa things people talk about in work that I’m not into, I just say nah don’t watch that or not into that. They aren’t forcing it down my throat 😐

curious to see what Three lions did yesterday on Spotify

after going to #3 on Apple and #1+4 on Amazon

of course also #1 on iTunes but with average figures nothing crazy ala Ladbaby :D

Because they're shit and I don't like football and I'm sick of seeing it everywhere / forced upon me?

"Waka Waka" is the only football song I know and respect

the euros happens every four years, i don't want the three lions to do well but I don't see the problem with football songs what so ever, if it was anything buzzjack friendly related for a month (reality tv songs) then it would be like omg yasssss

potentially the football songs could chart every 2 years cos there are World Cups and Euro Cups, right?

guess thats why Three Lions charted in 96 and 98...

I find it exciting rather than annoying, bit like the Eurovision songs

Kim Kardashian needs to drop a mixtape ASAP!

And if my grandma had wheels she would be a bicycle.

The England football team with them bravely taking the knee in support of BLM despite immense pressure from right wing hacks, booing fans and certain Tory politicians means they are far more inclusive and progressive then a lot of the rest of society so no probs if them and their songs do well this year from my part.
I think a lot of you have missed my point but go off. It was only a simple light-hearted opinion.

I get your point, I feel the same about Xmas songs, I hate Xmas music and would never ever listen to any Xmas song

and seeing it clogging the charts for 3 months every year and also always the same songs and in the exact order as they are in the playlist

it's excruciating to see

but I thing the football songs is ok cos it's not every year and not 3 months either

and also it's basically Three Lions and maybe Vindaloo and World in Motion

if only people would stream Waka Waka!!!

Or Zara Larsson and David Guetta B-)

Football on Spotify:

#2 Three Lions (did 490,645)

#11 Vindaloo

#20 World In Motion

Unrelated:

#39 Måneskin - Beggin' [new peak]
