07th. Paparazzi = 9 votes




Welcome Buzzjack to Round 21 of Lady Gaga's least fave singles poll & the latest Gaga single to get the boot is Paparazzi & comes as quite a shock, as the votes only started during the last round, as well as managing 14 rounds with 0 votes, so where did these sudden surge of votes come from? This is also the first time that this hasn't finished in the top 5 with its previous ranks (2nd in 2014, 5th in 2017 & 3rd in 2019). But 7th is still a very respectable position & it now seems that its time for other Gaga songs to rise above.

'Paparazzi' is often overshadowed by her flashier releases, but still this mid-tempo song shows how great Lady Gaga is as a lyricist & remains a crowning poetic achievement for Gaga as a songwriter, delicately encapsulating The Fame’s thematic identity. This was actually the first time the public & fans really saw that there was more to her than just being another flash in the pan pop star.


The last round was a very tight race with 'Alejandro' having the 2nd highest amount of votes with 8, 'Shallow' again manages 5 votes & 'Rain On Me' gained 3 votes. 'The Edge of Glory' gets 2 votes, then finally 'Poker Face' gets a single vote for the 4th round in the row. 'Bad Romance' was the only track not to gain a single vote, but could all that change with the next round, who knows...

Poker Face is my least favourite now... I've warmed to it again over the past couple of years but it's definitely not on the same level as any of the other remaining ones.

I've inched towards Alejandro here. I love all that's left, I adoooore Poker Face, Bad Romance, The Edge Of Glory and Rain On Me. Then, it was difficult between Alejandro and Shallow but think Shallow feels SLIGHTLY more ~classic.

It is a bop but I cannot at Alejandro still being in when it’s by far the weakest of the top 10!

Not shocked to see Paparazzi go... All the remaining songs are perfect, so it's like a throwing a dice.
