June 7, 20214 yr Doja and Sza will surely overtake The Weeknd but will be great if they can both get a new peak. I hope it does. SYT has past its sell-by date
June 7, 20214 yr I Wanna Be Your Slave, while still better than most of the chart, disappointed me a bit after ZeB. Don't really want to see it get a higher peak. Intrigued to see what sales Wolf Alice post today, does anyone know what their previous albums did first week?

June 7, 20214 yr I hope it does. SYT has past its sell-by date Are you the ultimate arbiter on what a song's "sell-by date" is or something?
June 7, 20214 yr I agree. "Levitating" is way past its sell-by date. She has a brand new song called "Love Again" which no one bothers with despite it sampling a classic #1 from the 90s Love Again is a brand new song? It must be doing very well then if it's nearly past 100 million streams on Spotify already
June 7, 20214 yr opened at #2 with 19k Thanks - so since then they've won a Mercury and featured in Trainspotting 2, but album sales have generally fallen. So around 19k again would be good?

June 7, 20214 yr There's been a vinyl release of 3 Lions, before anyone asks! But is it available on cassette?

June 7, 20214 yr The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in and Wolf Alice have already passed 25,000 sales for Blue Weekend in the race for albums chart glory. The group, profiled alongside their team in Music Week to launch the campaign earlier this year, have hit No.2 with their two previous albums, and are bidding for their first ever chart-topper. Released on Dirty Hit, Blue Weekend currently has 25,098 sales, with XX from physical, XX from downloads and XX from streams. All of which means that Olivia Rodrigo could be toppled from pole position, with Sour (8,430 sales) is in third spot. James are new in at No.2 with All The Colours Of You (9,817 sales), but with Sunday’s streaming data yet to be counted, Rodrigo could make a comeback. Crowded House are at No.4 with Dreamers Are Waiting and Rag’N’Bone Man’s Life By Misadventure (2,471 sales) completes the Top 5. Olivia Rodrigo’s influence over the singles chart remains impressive, with Good 4 U (31,525 sales) in top sport, Deja Vu (11,728 sales) at No.4 and the ubiquitous Drivers License (8,952 sales) at No.6. Rodrigo has two further tracks starred out of the Top 20, plus five more from the Top 40. Elsewhere, The Weeknd’s Save Your Tears (14,801 sales) is at No.2, Doja Cat and Sza’s Kiss Me More (13,748 sales) is at No.3 and Galantis, David Guetta and Little Mix’s Heartbreak Anthem (9,367 sales) is at No.5.
