December 29, 20213 yr Title race over tonight! I wouldn't go that far, there is a lot of hyperbole after tonight. City's next 3 fixtures are tough, so there is plenty of time. The problem really is they have won 9 games in a row I think and the luck has gone all their way so far. In normal times, teams usually have games like we had tonight (the "great" Man Utd teams had several over the years). It is genuinely not normal that City have 19 games still to play and you could envision them not getting beat once. We did not play well, Leicester defender well and took their one chance really well. I don't think I've seen us play as badly in a long time. The front three especially all had absolute shockers. Jota was all over the place, Salah let the penalty miss get to him and Mane was dreadful. Klopp pretty much said it after the game, he got the team wrong tonight.
December 29, 20213 yr I think it is over if they win tonight, City are in one of these moods where they're gonna go and win another 10 games in a row easily. The fact they can just let one of their best players go to Barca and let a £100M lump of hair gel rot on the bench just shows how ridiculously stacked their forward options are.
December 29, 20213 yr Welcome to our world Liverpool fans! It's really the battle to avoid relegation where the real intrigue is this season. Norwich look like they're half way down despite having a new manager, the injury problems for Newcastle's strikers could cost them. Watford seem to be conceding so many goals ever since they Man United, with Burnley you can't really tell as they go under the radar a lot and Leeds are in the mix as well.

It’s going to be difficult but City will wobble at some point. Problem is, I don’t think we’re there to take advantage. Big ones for me are the Brentford and Brighton home draws, those are games we should have won comfortably. Is what it is, but it just shows what the 19/20 title win was so good at the same time.
December 29, 20213 yr I watched first Liverpool match of the season and they lose! I can't see Man City throwing the title away now
December 29, 20213 yr Keep the faith everyone! Liverpool or Chelsea just need to keep 6-8 points behind them. The chances are they will have a wobble at some point. The key really is around the Champions League games, mainly as Pep will rest his key players in the league games if the league is near enough sewn up.
December 30, 20213 yr Well they play each other next so one has to drop points then it's AFCON which will massively hamper both teams. It's done I'm afraid.
December 30, 20213 yr City have Arsenal and Chelsea as their next two, I think they need to drop points in both of those games for there to be a title race. They're fortunate to not have any postponed games to fit in either.
December 30, 20213 yr Author Chelsea have announced losses of £145.6m after tax for the year to 30 June 2021. The Premier League club won last season's Champions League under Thomas Tuchel. Their turnover went up from £387.8m to £416.8m thanks to an increase in broadcasting revenue. But the club say playing games with no crowds because of Covid-19 and a reduction in profit on player sales were the main reasons for the loss.
December 30, 20213 yr Author Well that was a meh second half but overall a good reaction to the Newcastle match and a good way to end the year.
December 31, 20213 yr Burnley to go down this season? Answer to my prayers Burnley at Home was always the one fixture I hated the most when I was a season ticket holder
January 1, 20223 yr Hope they don’t, they have by far the lowest wage bill of any club in the division and have been punching for years!
January 1, 20223 yr How does Rodri not get 2 yellows in that Arsenal game for taking his shirt off and inciting the crowd!
January 2, 20223 yr This is an unreal game!! Just came here to say the same thing. Brilliant 1st half so far, the scoreline is suiting Manchester City at the moment though.
