To be fair, Ed is pretty undeniably underperforming. It's obvious Ed and his team thought they'd cruise to #1 and the fact it's not quite plain sailing is very clear in the iTunes price reduction + 99p CD singles. It's not "we're reducing the price to give the song a leg up", it's "we're reducing the price because anything less than #1 isn't acceptable."

(I say this as someone who likes the song and would be perfectly happy with it at #1)

What I don't get about the CD thing is they're being sold in super limited quantities anyway so surely selling them at 99p doesn't really make any difference compared to just selling them for [insert whatever the price of CDs usually is idk because I don't ever buy them]. They'd still sell out regardless surely?

Risky of Krept & Konan et al. to put out an England anthem right now, strong possibility of it ageing like milk within 3 days of release xx
They're clearly more optimistic than most about England's chances of progressing through the tournament.

What is that Switch Disco thing? I assume its to do with a TikTok trend. I really dislike the song anyway, probably because I remember the song it samples, Donna Lewis' I Love You Always Forever from the 90s - such a lovely song.

It was played on Love Island yesterday!

(TikTok trend songs are more likely to be higher on Apple Music than iTunes)

I feel like that is (usually justifiably) said about every new iteration of random house songs by previously unknown artists

Nice to see a climb for RAYE after yesterday’s Twitter outburst against her label not letting her put out an album.
