This just proves what loads of people gave been saying - England were in a difficult group and Netherlands weren't ever really tested. I thought Czech Republic played really well, I suspect with 11 vs 11, I'd have still fancied Netherlands to go through. Terrible tactics from De Boer, they had absolutely zero going forward or in attack after going down to 10 men, very embarrassing performance. Wijnaldum had one of his stinker performances too which he reguarly put in at Liverpool this season too!

The sending off for De Ligt was the turning point of the match and it was such clumsy defending from him to be caught out of position and then handle the ball in the way that he did. I don't know how Malen managed to miss the 1 on 1 with the Czech goalkeeper, it would have been harder to miss than score in that scenario. He could have easily gone round the keeper or slotted the ball underneath him or through his legs. Czech Republic deserved the victory and it's crazy to think that either them or Denmark will be one match away from the final, I don't think anyone would have predicted that before the tournament started. I'm starting to think that it might be written in the stars for Denmark to make it to the final after all that they've been through.
A good game, that. Always nice to see one of the games end in something of an upset, although I don't think the Dutch were ever that good they'd clearly have been expected to win that. Czech vs. Denmark in the QF is a great prospect, will be a fascinating game
The in-between show on ARD just played us the Czech commentary for the goals, I think they were pleased
The Czech Republic really stood out, had to be their best performance on the day, facing Denmark in the next round, it be interesting to see how far the Czech Republic will go. I really thought Netherlands were the likely winners from this match, but after the red card sending off, the whole team fell to pieces, but they had their chances especially from Malen

The Dutch became the first side in the history of the competition to win all three group games and then go on to lose in 90 minutes in the first knockout round.
Delighted to see the Czechs win that, and quite convincingly as well! The red really did it for the Netherlands althoughcreadit to the Czech Republic for really taking advantage of it.
Oh wow, FDB will be the first manager sacked then following the tournament

Homie has already been sacked less than 36 hours later
