In last place, it's the standalone single released for the Live Earth campaign. Hey You is a folksy ballad produced by Pharrell Williams and was released as a free single to help to uplift the world through its positive message. Madonna's first single since 1985 to be written entirely by herself, it seems we're not totally here for her addressing huge political issues with such saccharine tones. She performed the song live as part of the London Live Earth concert. Next out it's Hanky Panky which offers a complete change of pace. The final single from 'I'm Breathless' here we have a jazzy swing song about a woman enjoying the thrill of being spanked by her partner. Madonna claimed the lyrics were tongue-in-cheek and intended to be a joke. Also out in this first set it's Revolver where Madonna teamed up with Lil Wayne for a single off her 'Celebration' greatest hits album.

June 28, 20214 yr I lived for Re-vulva back in 2009, but obviously in 2021 it's atrocious and should have been a DIRE warning of what the next decade was going to hold in store. Hanky Panky has no place as her second worst single, especially not with a score that low! It's hardly a lyrical masterpiece or moment of pop high culture, but it does exactly what you would expect it to and I just find it a lot of fun.

June 29, 20214 yr The bottom 3 of the results is also my bottom 3! To a slight extent I prefer Hanky Panky to Revolver. I think the only occasion I'd listen to either song again is if I was listening through to all of her singles. Hey You is atrocious :kink:

Turn Up the Radio 5.15 First off in this set, it's the final single from MDNA. Turn Up the Radio as the title suggests is about finding escapism and fun on the radio, even in a world filled with ipods, downloads and streaming. Produced by Martin Solveig, it's a dance-electro-pop number. The song failed to really make an impact anywhere on the charts and it's favoured pretty disastrously here too! Another Suitcase in Another Hall features in the musical Evita, whereby Madonna sings with a breathy vulnerability. It was the third single taken from the soundtrack and the first to be out here! We also lose One More Chance which was the second single from Madonna's ballad compilation album, 'Something to Remember'. The song talks of trying to win a lover back after separating, and was inspired by real-life events of Madonna's, although she switched the roles around for the song.
June 29, 20214 yr Author No losses in this trio. 'Turn Up the Radio' should never have been a single when songs like 'I'm Addicted' exist on the album :no: The other two singles are totally forgettable! No hate, just indifference~
June 29, 20214 yr Yep no losses there, One More Chance isn't bad but it's quite uneventful. Turn Up The Radio is also completely uneventful but it's more of a crime in an upbeat track than a ballad. Another Suitcase... is hard to judge, it's not a particular favourite but she does a nice enough job with it.
