Pot 2 looks the pot to be in this season - at least one of Chelsea/City are going to draw a big European team in their group this year.

Champions League winner predictions? for me with the signings that they've made if PSG don't win it then something is seriously wrong over there.

PSG and City will rightly be favourites, but neither have ever won it before and that definitely counts. City will never get as good as an opportunity to win as last season and it will be interesting to see how the no away goals rule changes things. Can you really see City/PSG needing to get a result at the Bernabau/Anfield/Allianz if they needed a win in the 2nd leg?

I fancy Liverpool/Chelsea this season. Think it will be an English club or PSG that wins.

Pot 1:

Chelsea

Villarreal

Bayern Munich

Manchester City

Atletico Madrid

Inter Milan

Sporting CP

Lille

Pot 2:

Real Madrid

Barcelona

Juventus

Manchester United

PSG

Liverpool

Sevilla

Borussia Dortmund

Pot 3:

FC Porto

Ajax

Shakhtar Donetsk

Red Bull Leipzig

Red Bull Salzburg

Benfica

Atalanta

Zenit St Petersburg

Pot 4:

Beskita

Dynamo Kiev

Club Brugge

Young Boys

AC Milan

Malmo

Wolfsburg

Sheriff Tiraspol

Pot 2 is definitely stronger than pot 1. How did Sporting and Lille make it there? , any of the teams in pot 4 would do well to qualify for the knockout stages.

I’ll take that draw for United. Avoided Bayern from pot 1, Milan from pot 4 and any long trips to Russia, Ukraine or Turkey.

City in actual tough group shocker :o

All the English teams should qualify, Liverpool's group looks the toughest on paper but I'd expect us to get through it. It doesn't leave us much wiggle room though if we have more than one defeat.

Glad to see everyone else getting involved in the discussion now the group stages have been drawn 😁

Yeh tough group for Liverpool as ever and as usual United get an easy draw. Maybe Ole can score another OG this year?! Group E looks a tough group as well.

Well done to Sheriff Tiraspol being the first ever Moldovan team in the group stages, they normally start in the 1st or 2nd qualifying round. Decent achievement even if they are paid for by petrodollars!

Both are their countries champions from last season!

To be fair our group last year as piss easy. It's a tough group, but not as tough as our group in 2018-2019.

You think our group from last season which had 2 semi finalists from the previous season was easy?

Well maybe not last year and yes looking at ours last year it wasn’t too bad albeit you could hype any teams up such as Ajax etc. But Yous normally do get a handy group. Still should have qualified from it mind you!

Wrong Manchester Steve. City get the easy group Year in year out.

Back on the proper side of Manchester i see we are determined to re-enact 2020. Soft red like and this ref is a complete eejit but that was a deserved loss. Shitshow second half. Gave up after the red card and tried to see out a 1-0 and got burned. Not good enough

And I never want to see Jesse f***ing Lingard in a United kit again

I only saw the 2nd half but from what I've seen we didn't play well, it was a terrible mistake from Lingard and there were dodgy substitutions from Ole. I still remember David Wagner doing us dirty as Huddersfield manager a few years ago and now he's done it again.
Taking VDB off for Varane at half-time was the most pathetic substitution I've ever seen. That's when the game was lost, they would have won comfortably if they didn't decide to play with no midfield and literally leave a 36 year old up front by himself. If they continued with 4-4-1 I'm sure they would have won. United won't win anything if they don't even have the balls to try and attack against Young Boys even with 10 men.
Ah Ole how we love you!!!

Can't wait to see the Man Utd PR machine in full flow now. I wonder if they will show Ronaldo talking to a young Jesse Lingard again? Probably spout some rubbish about how Ronaldo now won't be happy because they lost and he will have very strong words with the team

United will still qualify with ease, it is ok to drop points, but this has given me a great laugh. It's almost like signing Ronaldo solves absolutely zero of the bigger problems that exist with the manager and squad, who'd have thought  Not seen the game but Ole did the right thing by playing for a 1-0 with 10 men, it's just the 10 men he had were not well coached and only set up to play one way. Compare that to how Tuchel played vs Liverpool a couple of weeks ago.

It's an unacceptable result but the red card really f***ed us. I'd have been happy to escape out of there with a point and the defence was largely brilliant. One slack backpass from Lingard shouldn't overshadow EVERYTHING but it is a really annoying outcome.
