Hello everyone and welcome to Round 1 of Steps: The Singles World Cup.

 

Here, 32 of Steps’ most well loved and well known songs will compete to see who will be crowned champion. After a qualification round all of Steps singles are present and competing here. (I did choose to omit the ABBA Medley, I hope no on is too disappointed, sorry).

 

At the completion of the Qualification Round tiebreaker the final two songs to progress to this Group Stage are Light Up The World and Paradise Lost.

 

Each song has been placed into a group of four, meaning there are eight groups in total. To determine the groups I ranked the singles based on total UK sales, for this I used the pinned thread. I felt this gave the best spread and didn't make the groups too heavy with classics or 2017 on era Steps songs. I think this gives a good balance, I hope you do too.
